I was posed this question in a chatroom, and it got me to thinking.......what makes you, you?

For me, I think it's the fact that I am an easy-going, lighthearted person. People that know me know I am a really good listener, and that I enjoy being there if they need to vent. Another thing is that I love having fun and being silly/random at times.

So, TT-ites, answer me this: what makes you the individual that we all know and (maybe 😉 ) love?

Hmm...what makes me, me...

I think the most defining property of Brandin is his massive sense of empathy. It almost seems as if he cares waaay more about others than he does about himself, and that he can understand what's going on with others more so than the average person. But, really, it's only because he's a Developer...which means that he grows when he sees others growing, too, and so one of his greatest loves is to be there for his friends and help them out in whatever way I can...even at his own expense. He'd do anything for the ones that he loves, anything and everything.

i don't know what makes me me..i'm just me..love me hate me i can't help the way i am..i'm kind, considerate, compassionate, loyal, trusting to a fault..open also to a fault..what you see here online is exactly how i am offline..bubbly, positive, happy for the most part...moody at times..honest..shy at times...pushy at other times...insecure although that's getting better....

i've had some people tell me i brighten up a forum, a website, a room with my smile...when i smile, i smile with my whole face, not just my mouth..i don't know if i brighten up anything personally...but i never use anyone as a punching bag...i put all blame for anything bad that happened where it belongs..with myself...

I think what makes me, me is that I really don't take myself seriously. I can be very self-deprecating at times. Its not that I am not serious when I need to be, I am. I do also have very deep and philosophical views of things. I like to ponder things. I want to know what makes them tick. I love creativity, history, storytelling, fantasy. I can get lost in musings just thinking. But I am still a guy though, I like sports, football, the outdoors, getting my hands dirty. I also like to listen. As some of you my know from the chatroom, I feel no need to dominate a conversation. I can set back and chime in from time to time. So that is me. I hope I answered your question. 😛

Speaking of the innocence you don't have, though... :laughing: ...that's perhaps another one of my defining traits. Self-induced sheltered childhood, lack of engagement with things bad and dirty and naughty, nearly non-existent anger issues...

I'm a mochi-ball. :happy: Soft and sweet and squishy and lightly powdered with crack--er, I mean, happiness powder. 😉

i've been told that part of my charm is my naivete...my innocence...can you imagine someone my age being naive?? but it's true...i've been terribly sheltered my whole life...for the most part...

My sense of humor and funnyness i don't see it or that about me? But that's what my parents and family have told me before many :laughing: And also that i'll be there for anybody that needs me as best as i can be for them (for my family members,my girlfriend etc)

Oh and also being born pre-mature i have had several set backs and hardships only weighing 2 Pounds. and 1 Ounce. and i still am even NOW things aren't going my way or aren't as easy coming. But i don't give up i don't wave the white flag too surrender and just quit and just give up. I keep pushing on and making it and fighting through all the mess and muddy waters. I'm a fighter and a warrior.

Well... I could attempt to give you a deep and wordy philosophical answer; but that'd take too much time to screw it. 😉 😛
I'm basically the result of a specific mass of traumatic->menial experiences throughout my life, most of it powered with quite a bit of stress, some of which have stuck, some of which haven't, that makes up my psyche, and all the different venues of my mind, train of thought, and varying reactions from those mental processes. ;P

That's a good question.

I guess what makes me unique is the many sides of my personality. The most dominating part of my personality is my cool, calm, and collected side. I'm like this all the time. Some people think I'm cool, and others think I'm shy just cuz I don't always have a lot to say.

Then, there's my 'Hood' side. I'm not necessarily saying I'm a gangsta, but I do have a gangsta mentality. When I'm in certain parts of my city, that side of me just takes over cuz sometimes, you gotta blend in. If you met me in person, you would never think I'm into tickling until I told you.

As some of you probably already know, I can be very sarcastic. This side of me comes out when someone who disagrees with or misunderstands something I say tries to provoke me. Although I'm not the type of guy that starts arguments and fights, I'm definitely not scared to get into one. Not to sound like a hard-ass, but I'm not scared of anyone or anything.

I believe there are a few things that make me unique. For one, I see beauty in even the simplest things and take the time to enjoy them. As a result, sometimes people will see me looking at things like a window with the sun shining through it and ask if I'm okay or give me crazy looks 😀. I've been told by some people that talking to me makes them calm and forget about their problems. If I had to choose 3 words to describe myself I would choose: peaceful, thankful and polite. These are the things that make me unique 🙂

For the most part, i'm a humble, nice guy. people say they look up to me or enjoy my presence in the forums, but i feel like a loner i guess, like a 3rd wheel. i can't draw, i do sometimes write stories. i'm funny, people always tell me i should be a comedian, which is why i like my funny signature. i strive my best to be a gentleman, to treat women with respect and to show all that some guys can be trusted and loved. i like making others happy and laugh, guess that's my drug. i love TT, and i never wanna leave, it's like a family here. i'm a tickler and a ticklee, and in a nutshell, i'm a big cuddly teddybear, who's humble and nice and caring.

But then there's my overly kind and overly generous nature that makes me, me. 😛
I love to give and help where ever I can, even if it puts myself through some inconvenience. ^^
