What ruins a Tickling Story for you?

The thought that a troll on this thread spent time agreeing with himself/ herself... whatever is HILARIOUS!!!!!

I can't stop laughing.

By the way, I AM the person who spends most of the story building character development and the last page on the tickling.
I'mma keep doing it too. LOL LOL LOL LOL

Sorry, not sorry... Love you guys, and I love how we are permitted to enjoy tickling in different ways.
:Kiss2:

Do you remember 'WriterLiamBond' and 'VivianLove' promoting each other's kindle tick-fic. It was so obvious they were the same person.

I chatted to more than a couple of people who wondering if they were the only person who could see it. Funny times. 😀

"Hahahaha". I've seen some say it isn't a tickling story without those strings of written laughter and years ago I think I would have agreed or just not been bothered by them, but for the me of today it does kill things a bit. And I don't know why anyone, when they clearly want to express that "oh my god" was screamed, would do this: "OOOMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!" Maybe there's just a lot of people out there who enjoy writing these stories but never actually read anything?

Expository paragraphs of character description that you'd expect to be a part of a story outline rather than content in the actual story (probably, I've never tried to plan a story and I imagine it shows, but still...). Mrs X was a 39 year old woman that went to the gym every day and had black hair and was softly spoken but still had an air of authority about her and, of course, given the genre, had six pedicures a week which she had done professionally at utterly ruinous expense despite being a single mother struggling financially etc, etc.

Maybe when the lee has been kidnapped and held hostage but turns out to enjoy the experience immensely and discovers a fetish of their own despite the horrific circumstances?

Incidentally, these may very well be free stories but you should still be allowed to critique them. People post positive comments all the time, so negative must be allowed too otherwise the positive ones become kinda meaningless. Can't have positivity in a world without negativity. Provided you understand how to give a negative review without being blatantly rude, obviously. Some of the stuff I've written in the past is kinda dire, or should be to anyone that's actually read a story before, yet I've only ever had positive feedback and people messaging me, staggeringly, for commissions.

No pics imo. Not asking for a coloring book or a comic, but at least give me one pic to fantasize about.

For me, it's when it shifts to straight up porn.

Nothing wrong with porn, or with mixing tickling with sex, but I personally like my stories to just be straight-up, 100% tickling (although genital tickling is ok as well!).

To name a couple,

when a story is in a first person POV. I prefer third person stories, I don’t really know why.

Im straight, so all the stories I read have to be /F. So the moment a male gets tickled, It ruins it for me. I’m also not a big fan of M/F, however there’s a few occasions where I’ll let it slide. But for the most part I’m more of an F/F or a */F kinda guy. Also I prefer the ler to be much older than the lee, basically I like when older women tickle younger women. I don’t know, I’m weird.

Anything involving family members tickling each other. I don’t care what the scenario is. Whether it’s parents punishing their daughter, or a brother playfully tickling his sister. To me it’s just really weird.

That’s all I can think of at the moment.

I'm also in the same ballpark as those who prefer more constructive criticism, but honestly, the truth of this thread is that it's really about "What I personally prefer not to read in a fic." That being said:

1) Noncon. Yeah, it's popular, yeah it's just fantasy, and if you're not actually going out and doing it, more power to you if it's your thing. For me, I simply don't find those kinds of fantasies hot. As was mentioned earlier, if there's somebody who genuinely likes it, but has yet to discover this, or hasn't had an opportunity to express it, and somebody boldly makes that choice for them... in a fantasy... that's actually a fun read in most cases. But "I hate it!" flat out absolutely takes all the pleasure out of it for me.

Again... this is ME. The things I describe will make others LOVE your stories, I'm sure. But my own tastes differ somewhat. Hopefully this helps.

Absolutely. The idea of tickling someone to cause them real distress totally turns me off.

When some writers 3 fucking sentences and calls it a story. Also you want a lot of detail to a story? Wanna flesh out a world? Fine dont forget it's a out TICKLING. plenty of other creative writing forums out there to make your own. Universe dont yet carried away. Also I fucking hate m/m

Stories that are too long, made up tales portrayed as true, celebrities, family, children cartoon characters or related, thrones of frozen dreams LOL

Well, at least I know you won't read any of my works....

Actually, it is sentiments like this and some others in this thread I find insulting. A writer can spend HOURS, DAYS, and even MONTHS writing a story because they want to draw you in and get invested into the characters. To make the tickling make sense. The written word is an art. Any person can just write someone getting tickled. But, when you can read something where you can get drawn in, the tickling actually is better. Tickling can be an intimate thing. Stories are different than videos. Stories depend on words to create a picture and draw you in.

So, just like with videos, some folks don't have long enough attention spans to read and just want a quick jack-off medium. I get that. Nothing wrong with it. If that is the only way you can get off, so be it. No one cares. But to insult writers who take the time to create a work of art, well, that is just fucked up and insulting. Yes, I take this thread personally because I am a writer and I spend an inordinate amount of time creating characters that people can relate to and have the tickling seem more vivid. The series I am writing now has consumed many hours, days and months of my life to entertain folks, so to hear that people "hate" these types of works because they are creating a "world", well, is very insulting. If you don't like it, that's your prerogative. But why complain about it? Just letting you folks know that. Have more respect for the sheer amount of work folks like myself and many other talented writers put into creating stories. We don't get paid for our works. AT ALL. It is truly a passion to share stories with others. Respect that.

Much respect and agreement with you PrimeTime

I’m gonna add something I forgot to mention.

I hate when the ticklee gets knocked out/passes out/goes to sleep or what have you, and then they wake up tied up somewhere. To me that’s just really boring.

Also while I’m a huge fan of */F stories, I really dislike tentacles/vines. I don’t know exactly why, but I probably also just find it a little boring.

Those might be some of the only things that will genuinely ruin a tickle story for me, and make me lose interest in it.

When there's socks, nylons, talk of dirty/sweaty/stinky feet and when there's a guy in the story/video (unless I'm the guy, lol)

When the term "meaty" is used to describe feet or toes. Makes me think of ugly, dirty, disgusting feet! I want to puke when I see it.

Multi-part stories with no final chapter. As a reader, I would much prefer the story to be completed and posted in segments (maybe one a day or something) than having to wait weeks, months, or possibly forever (in the case that the story is never completed) for the next installment. Don't do things halfway.

As someone who basically writes all my stories in multiple parts I just wanted to chime in on this. Before anything, thats your opinion and you're totally allowed to feel that way so this isnt an attack, just defending "Series" type stories. (At least my view on them)

Think of multi part stories like a tv show or movie franchise. There's the pilot episode to see if people even like the idea in the first place. If they do, then you can continue on. Same with stories, a writer can have an idea for a series but why spend the time writing 5,6,7+ parts if part 1 is just going to flop?

Then you have ideas and plot. An entire series worth of ideas doesnt come all at once, it can take months or longer, hence multiple seasons. Back to popularity, maybe a certain character becomes a favorite. Well if you do the entire series at once, you can't go back and give the audience more of that character. Plots are based off of audience feed back as well. Maybe readers say they liked when my character Sam interacted with a specific other character, whole series is done and posted so oh well.

Thats why it's better to do it in installments, to adjust the story and characters based on feedback.

There's also the possibility maybe i just run out of motivation for the series like 4 stories in. Well i spent all that time writing those 4 parts, i cant NOT post them. Or maybe half way through i thought of an idea for a new series and want to get that idea out there.

End of the day i can understand the satisfaction of having a full series to read beginning to end, but logistically doing a whole series at once doesnt always work. Again though, thats just MY opinion and point of view so take it as you wish.

Hope I helped clarify things a bit and maybe changed your mind, if not thats ok too and at least i tried 🙂

Blatantly false elements in a "true" story (like, "I met these two chicks when I came back from Army Force Recon training"), long works of unrelated fiction that clearly have the tickling kind of "tacked on", nitpicky stuff like that.
To be fair, I wish I had the talent/courage to write at all.
