What some women will do to get married (ticklish cleaning woman)

A few weeks ago I posted a story about how I tickled my new cleaning woman, well, there is a reason why she let me tickle her.

Turns out, the reason why my cleaning woman let me tickle her, she set me up and that she wanted me to marry her. What could be so bad about that? Marry a hot looking 22 year old Brazilian woman who is incredibly ticklish, right? Seems she has a student visa that is going to expire in a few months and want to get married in order to stay in the US. She was cleaning my Moms' house this week and told my Mom' that she wanted to marry me, but I would marry her in order for her to stay in the country, and she would pay for eveything! She called me up and told me this and I laughed my ass off.

Pretty pathetic what some people would do to become a US citizen. I knew something was up when she stopped wearing shorts and walking around my house barefoot. I guess I won't be tickling her anymore.

Oooohhh...I wouldn't have laughed my butt off about it.....

I Hope To God She Is Not Also Your Cook! Hell Hath No Fury...... Sorry Your In-house Tickling Source Dried Up On You. I Read A Blurb Weeks Ago In The Atlanta Paper About Marriage For Citizenship Scams. Seems Like The Men Were Being Paid In Cash And Services( Now What Could That Be? 🙂 ) To Allow Themselves To "marry" These Girls. I Assume Then A Divorce Occurred After The Required Time.

Umm, dude. You laughed at her? you asshole. It's obvious she comes from a much harsher world then you are used to, or she wouldn't feel like she had to go to these lengths to escape it. People say it's a scam, but really she's just trying to save herself. Hell dude, you dont have to marry her, but there's no need to be an ass to someone who obvious needs help.

Listen schmuck, I wasn't laughing at her, I was laughing at the idea that she wanted to marry me, and who cares about what kind of world she came in. I spent back-to-back tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, so I know what goes on in the "real-world". So before you go around calling anyone an asshole, get your facts straight and read the fine print clearly. Seems your the asshole now, huh?

Man....well, at first, I thought it was towards me, but now...oh i am just going to stay out of it.

When were you in Afghanistan and Iraq? Couldnt have been recently I would bet.

It appears to me that you ARE acting a bit like one dude. Especially posting about it here in a derogatory way.

I wasn't directing my comments at you Journia, but you are doing the right thing in staying out of it. By the way, you are right Dade, it wasn't recently, it was 2002 (Enduring Freedom), and 2003 (OIF1). Now, you talk about a harsh place she came from, well, Brazil isn't so bad, it happens to be a top tourist attraction, and being here on a student visa isn't exactly escaping. Man, you couldn't be any dummer if your head was cut off, and if you don't like me or my posts, dont' read them!

Wow! Unless you’re already in another relationship, you might want to give this one a second thought. It might be worth a trip to the lawyer’s office for a pre-nup discussion. If there are no financial risks, you could end up having the time of your life for a while. She’s young, hot, ticklish, ambitious, works hard, and getting educated. I don’t see too many negatives in that formula. I think it would be safe to say that this kind of “fantasy” opportunity may never come by again.

So you were there for a short time and then back here where life is good. She came from a place not so good to her, to get an education and make a better life for herself.

Uh huh..THAT's a great reason to put someone down.

Shows your true colors. Way to go!

Didn't learn much in the military about honor did you?

Just marry her dude.

Alright, c'mon now...

Why can't we evolve as a species? Why, when one disagrees with a small part of someone's post, must we be compelled to express this disagreement with name calling and angry ferver (sp?)? Especially when what is being reacted to is vague in its context?

Why, also, must the response to said expression be one of arrogance and pride?

Why can't people just leave well enough alone?

If you disagree with someone's actions, its best to keep your mouth shut. Invariably, not keeping your mouth shut leads to an argument over the semantics of differing definitions of morality. This argument is never won by either party involved, it makes moderators hover their mice over block and delete buttons, and causes everyone else to groan.

I'm all for expressing opinions. I just wish people would think about the ramifications of what they're saying. Debate is one thing. Saying things that you KNOW can only lead to a flame is quite another.

Just my two cents.

As Lincoln said: Is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt!

Words are like a boomerang. Eventually, they come back to you. Make sure you're willing to have what you throw out come back to you!

Marriage for US citizenship... Marriage for money... marriage for tax benefits... marriage for personal security. Heck, there are many different reasons for getting married; and most are far more practical than "marriage for love".

I've seen/heard of people (men and women from all over the globe, even Americans) do all kinds of things to get married, just to get some kind of benefit.

Just to flip things around for a bit; don't we all have motives to get married? I mean, really think about it. Whether its to spend the rest of your life with somebody who gives you emotional comfort; or whether its because you know you'll have a great sex life, or know the person you marry is going to be successful and guarantee a financially comfortable lifestyle... in the end of the day, your marrying that person to get something out of him or her.

I have a friend (non-American) who ditched his gf (also non-American) to marry an American woman to get citizenship. His gf is a good friend of mine, and one day she says she got a call from him, and he told her that he was only doing it for the citizenship and once that's done he'll get back together with her.

She then tells me that the girl he married knows about this and agreed to the whole thing...So only one can guess at what he had to do to "convince" this girl to marry him so he can get the citizenship eh?

Geez, what some men will do to get married eh? 😉

American spelling: Fervor.

British spelling: Fervour.

As for the topic... immigrant marriages a? I might advertise... get a whole bunch of women to marry me, father a thousand sons and take over the Universe!!!

AHAHAHAHAHA!!! :wooha:

Seriously though, could be fun.

Hey, in all seriousness; I'm an American and I'm all for inter-racial marriages. I think it's a beautiful thing 🙂

A friend of a friend is half Brazilian, half Saudi; and she's a vision of beauty. Most girls I met, that are of mixed marriages, are just somethin' else man…

*returns to his drooling*

You've got a good point, RTL. Oftentimes, mixed marriages end up producing children with the best of both sides, even more beautiful than either of them alone.
As for the topic, I've also got to agree with you. People do have all kinds of different reasons for marriage, and with the system the way it is, becoming a US citizen, or a citizen of any given country, is a very valid one. I'd done some checking into this topic a couple of years ago, so I know pretty much how it'd work.
At the least, if you're not seeing anyone, this might be worth further checking out. Heck, from the sound of her, I might be willing to help her out. She's just my age. 🙂

According to one class I took, in 18th Century France, aristocratic wives were allowed to have as many lovers as they wanted, after the children were born. There are stories of tribes where this is the case, too, a married woman could have many lovers. Marriage served a purpose, and in some ways there were few hangups about it.

Under Islamic law, a man can have a limit of 4 wives; so long as he's able to financially support them and give them all an equal quality of life...

And I think Mormons don't have a limit on how many wives the men can have (I could be wrong tho).

Personally, I can't see myself devoting my life to more than one woman.

But I can see some of the practical reasons for polygamy; in cases where a person has a large estate to manage, and wants to ensure that he has enough progny to take over and manage the family wealth... but I also see all the headaches and trouble that can be a result of it.

And the wives after the 1st had to be widows from previous marriages.
