i'm going with "bittersweet symphony" by the verve.

when i was young and carefree, it might have been "love, rain o'er me" by the who.

I would say "Couldn't Get It Right" by the Climax Blues Band.
 
"In My Life", by The Beatles. I was trying to think of something clever like "Disco Duck", but the lyrics in "In My Life" reflect what I would like to say. Thinking of the past yet living in the now... loving all of those who once were in my life but have gone, and those who still are. "In my life, I love you more..."... the 'you' being anyone who crossed my path, including my friends here at TMF.

Judging by the sitcom characters who inhabit my life, in my leisure time and at work, along with some of the individuals on this board, I'd say a good theme song would be the one they played over the credits on "My Favorite Martian".

No, that's not it. 🙄 Hell, EVERYTHING that man did musically was autographed with excellence. I used to have "As Time Goes By" in my siggy, until I found my latest favorite. Can't go wrong with "Mack the Knife", either.

Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" and I go way back, too. :cool2:

So does Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man", and the Main Title from the soundtrack to the first Superman movie with Christopher Reeve. Leave us not forget John Williams' "Imperial March" from The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack. (okay, so I like 'em big and brassy... sue me)

for me i'd pick: "The Dance" as one because of some personal meaning to it and "Live Like You Were Dying"

In fact, with all the crap I used to go through in college with the parents divorce, estrangement from my father and all, I was nicknamed "Rocky" by some of my academic advisors. No matter how many times adversity hits me or I take the plunge, I have the Eye of the Tiger, and get right back up to fight again.

'Three Angels' by the Headstones - for many reasons, just seems very fitting. Also, 'Coma' by GnR.
Right now though, 'Creep' by STP is more in tune.....
 
Well, if it's a song that kind of sums up your life, I'd have to say "I am a Rock" by Simon and Garfunkel. If it's just a kick ass song to be played when you are entering a room, I'm gonna say "Miseria Cantara (The Beginning)" by AFI.

Same song for the same reason. I took alot of crap when I was younger and instead of just putting my head in the sand, I got up and fought back. I don't want to get into alot of detail but it could have been very easy to give up and withdraw myself but I didn't do that. Mitch, I am well aware of what you been through and admire you for taking a stand as well.
