What To Do When Your Tickler Wears Out Before You?

First some background: I have had a girlfriend for a little over a year now. I told her about my love of tickling early on and we have tied each other down and tickled each other in the past. It was never for more than about 10 minutes at a time though, it was something she saw as foreplay and didn't want to wait too long to get to the good stuff *wink*

Anyways, on New Year's Eve, she agreed to tickle me for longer than that because I've always wanted to know how long I could go. Now, it didn't help that I am more ticklish on some days than others and this was a less ticklish day, but after about 30 minutes of tickling she had to stop. She has some joint and muscle issues and her fingers and forearms were starting to hurt to the point where she had to take Tylenol afterwards.

I just wanted to see if anyone had been in a similar situation and if they had come up with any creative solutions to this sort of a problem.
 
Being the tickler can be a workout in itself..all depends on the situation. But if the ler wants to quit before the lee there's pretty much nothing you can do about it...just go with the flow and try again next time. Don't try and "force" someone to continue when they need to stop...that'll just kill the whole thing for you
 
I just had carpole tunnel surgery on my best tickling hand. But there is no way I could ever last the entire 2 month recovery period. I find some positions are better than others.
Like kneeling on the floor with my lee tied in a chair. I can rest my elbows beside the thighs and get the pits/sides/hips.
Also if you have any way to elevate yourself so your feet are at a comfortable hand level for your gf. That helps relive some pressure as well :-D

My suggestion would be to try something that does the tickling for her, like an electric toothbrush. You can still get the enjoyment of being tickled like heck, while she can sort of relax and let the brush do the work. Once she is ready, she can move back to tickling with fingers and such. That should allow for longer sessions without the issues of her getting as tired.
 
So I talked to her today and told her how much I loved being tickled for that length of time. She suggested that we try working up to longer sessions. Since she is used to tickling me for 10 minutes, maybe 15 next time. I am an enthusiastic supporter of this plan.
 
Depending on what type of muscle and joint issues she has she might be able to do some strength training for her hands, a simple search or asking her doctor might provide some exercises.

Also, if you haven't tried it yet check to see if your neck and shoulders are ticklish when using a stiff paintbrush, feather, light/delicate techniques using her hands, and/or her mouth. For myself I have found in the past a gentle technique works great there. Plus, it can give your ler a chance to rest their hands excluding the part were they may need to pin your head.

And, you may have to reserve the longer sessions for the days you are more ticklish, I'm assuming she doesn't have to work as hard to get a reaction out of you or have to use or rely on heavy handed techniques only.

I wanted to second the electric toothbrush. My boyfriend uses it when he REALLY wants to torment me. I've never used one, since I''m always the lee, but I imagine it would definitely be easier on the muscles. And it can be really really bad on certain parts of me. I have a very ticklish neck, and I just lose my mind when he uses the toothbrush there.

Are you touch ticklish or pressure ticklish?

A feather touch tickler can get tired fingers after a long period of time. She may want to try exercises by squeezing a stress ball, fingers only. It builds strength and endurance.

A pressure tickler can get tired sooner due to the added exertion. After a couple hours, I do start to tire a little and can be a bit sore the next day. It helps to exercise all the muscles used for pressure tickling, both with light weights and stretches; trying a hand exercise grip may help, too, if her hand muscles tire easily. I also recommend stretching and eating before and hydrating during an extended tickling scene for added endurance., as well as a stretch and small bite to eat after.
