My favourite movie of the year is 'Snakes on a Plane'. A movie that managed to get made, and do amazingly well critically, despite the supposedly inane title. In a movie industry that is clogged up with 3rd rate remakes, straight to video sequels, and arty Cannes movies that don't really MEAN anything, its amazing to see a film called 'Snakes on a Plane' gather such a huge following. Not to mention managing to be damn entertaining. Especially with some friends, after a few pints.
Samuel L. Jackson and David R. Ellis, I salute you!
Also, I wish to make a mention of Christopher Lee - a fantastic actor, who is showing no signs of stopping, despite being in his '80s. He represents what acting is all about - enjoyment. Plus, nobody can play a villain quite like him.
Nice thread Norm!
