Tough call for me here , but I really loved The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ... so I'm gonna go w/that. :fish:

"Ghostbusters" and "Scrooged"... with honorable mentions to "Stripes" and "Tootsie"...

The one that made me laugh the hardest was "What About Bob."

The most insidious plan ever devised …

If he bothers you, I'll take care of him.
What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg...
...right at the bottom.
He'll never play golf again...
...because his weight displacement
goes back...
...all his weight is on his right foot...
...and he'll push everything off to the right.
He'll never come through on anything.
He'll quit the game.

I can't and won't pick one. Ghostbusters, What About Bob? and Groundhog Day are my faves.

I was a big Ghostbusters fan growing up, so I'll go with that. And now, a completely unrelated story...

I had the pleasure of seeing Bill Murray back in '92 or '93 when I was in my early teens. He was taking part in the pre-All Star Game festivities at Camden Yards. There was a celebrity home run derby, which he participated in. The first pitch that was thrown to him was right down the middle, but Murray comically hit the deck like it was about to bean him. That caused a great response for the crowd. Poor guy... I think he only hit a couple out of the infield. Tom Selleck, of all people, won the contest. The man actually hit one out of the park (over that tall right field wall) and nearly hit two. Pretty impressive for an actor. Good times, man.

I can't just pick one but I liked him in Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, and What About Bob? He was great in all those.

:hipoke:

For me it's a tie between Ghostbusters and Caddyshack.

Lost in Translation, followed closely by Groundhog Day and Caddyshack. Man's done a lot of good movies.

caddy shack is one of the best movies ever and by far the best bill murray movie. later kyle

I would select "Meatballs" as the film where Bill Murray is the primary star and "Caddyshack" in the category where he's one among many stars.

I liked Meatballs because it reminded me of my summer camps experiences and because his character had traces of some of his SNL stuff.

Caddyshack, on the other hand, is one of the funniest movies ever made. It never fails to make me laugh even though I've seen it dozens of times.

Oh without a doubt Caddyshack. Goonga Galoonga ... Goonga Lagoonga

Followed by Life Aquatic - You can call me Poppa Steve
