What's your worst fear?

Everybody is afraid of something. What are you afraid of? Tell some reasons that make you fear that specific thing. This is a thread just to start some conversation and to just see what different fears there are.

I, personally, am afraid of three things. Suffocation is definitely the top of my list. I can't imagine what it's like to drown or have no way to breathe such as something over my head preventing my breathing. Another thing I fear (not deathly) is hurting people, emotionally or physically. I will however, hurt somebody for protection or if they piss me off I have no problem doing that lol. But I hate making people feel bad or rejecting somebody. I think its because my nature is kind-hearted and I can't stand to see people depressed because of me. The last thing I fear (also not deathly) is rejection. Nobody likes rejection. I'm really confident and funny and the guy everyone knows and is cool with, it's just that I lack confidence whenever I want to be with a girl or something like that.

So yeah, those are what I fear, what about you guys?

I've got three actually. Being violated by several men at once is my worst. The one after that is being covered in spiders. The third is having my very consciousness (and thus my soul) imprinted on a piece of crystallized silicon thus preventing me from finding peace in the afterlife for the rest of eternity.

Interesting idea for a thread! Guess I'll follow the "three fears" trend that's been going on so far.

One MAJOR fear of mine (that I've since conquered...or at least, am in the process of conquering) is the fear of driving. I dunno, seems I didn't start off with that "feeling" that I really was in control of any vehicle - which, of course, is a very bad vibe to have while driving. I'd start to hyperventilate and freeze/tense up and stuff. Currently, I can get to school and back, and traverse some well-driven routes, so it's been steadily improving. Still...ugh. And yes, I have gotten into a (minor) accident already. =/

Second fear would be sudden vertical displacement - not to be mistaken with vertigo, or otherwise fear of heights...heights I can deal with. Certain roller-coasters, I can deal with, depending on how it operates. However, you know the feeling you get on rides like, say, the Tower of Terror ride in California Adventures? Or how a jet-liner sometimes does that horrible fwoomp, that sudden drop in heavy turbulence that seems like several hundred feet at once? I will - and have - freak out in some way. Do not want.

Third hardcore fear? Centipedes. Not the wimpy house centipedes that you continentals normally deal with, the ones with the creepy long legs. I'm talking about the tropical ones that we have here in Hawaii. The ones with the thick, shiny exoskeletons, and the fiery red/yellow legs. The ones that can still move around even if you were to chop their bodies into quarters. The ones that industrial-strength insecticides doesn't even faze.

Like that eight-inch-long centipede that crawled into my bed and bit me on my arm which I had up pretty close to my face, while I was sleeping at two in the morning several years ago. My arm felt like it might've needed amputation, it was so bad. To this day, I still have an actual scar from that bite.

Okay, yeah, no tropical paradise for me. I'm F'ING STAYING in NY now! Jesus Christ almighty on a stick Dalek! I bet you were tempted to BURN THAT BED!

It's become a habit for me to lift the matress and check underneath, nightly. 🙁

But please, come! I'll show you a good time! That should make up for the killer centipedes.

Spiders, spiders with wings and flying insects with stingers.

Australia's terror meter is countered somewhat by its amazing people.

Well first off I'm afraid of spiders and any insect that is bigger than my thumb

Then i'm afraid of clows, seriously screw those guys I never found them funny and now I find them creepy as hell

And my worst fear is to wake up one day and seeing that everyone i know has turned into zombies and they're trying to eat my face off.

I'm not a fan of spiders. Not in the sense that they scare me, but more in the sense that I don't want them to be alive anymore. Needless to say, Skyrim is suiting me well.

I'm mostly afraid of bees, even though I was always told that if I don't both them they won't bother me.

My second fear are things that would bite hard or scratch painfully.

And my last are needles. Sure I would take a shot anyway, but I often look away so I don't see it piercing my body.

Running out of coffee in the morning.

No... seriously? It's a cliché, but spiders! And that my closed ones would die or get badly ill. That I'd lose my love. Those are pretty regular fears, aren't they? And cancer's always freightening. I don't have one, but I still fear it when I heard that some mate has it or I'd have it... But that's pretty normal again.

I'm dull and won't make up something more interesting 😛

if i wake up into a coffin 3 meters under earth O_O
sorry for bad english

Actually, I have heat intolerance, so thinking about a hot or humid area gives me a panic attack.

Wow, you'd absolutely hate this place. It'd be a living nightmare for you.

As for my fears? Death. Rejection. Failure.

I'm sure I have more, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Isn't it kinda of a dick move by doctors to have named the fear of long words as "Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia"?
