usually I read all posts in each forum...but, without a doubt this one is sensitive to me.....legally in my state, a 21 yr old can date a 17 yr old...5 yrs differance.

However............it may be legal, but if it were my sister, I'd be throwing the boots to someone.

... If you're looking for something long-lasting and serious then you're (99% probably) looking in the wrong place. Girls that age (17, 18, 19, etc) are not wanting or able to make that kind of commitment (even if they think they are at the time).

FWIW, a person of college-freshman age would hafta be very mature beyond her years in order to pique more than a casual interest on my part.

Historically, age used to be less relevant than "maturity". If you could wield a sword, or bear children, you were old enough.

I am not advocating skirt-chasing, or diaper-chasing, just relating stuff.

Personally I draw a line - no, that's no pun... - at about 20-25.
I have no problems with older women either, older than me, that is, up to 35-40.

I don't care for morality. Morality changes over time.
So do laws. It's just a matter of following the laws - or breaking them without anybody noticing.

I do care about my personal judgement.
Even if it were legal, I wouldn't be likely to date a 15-yo girl.
