So let me explain. So far I have had about 8 sessions, but I still feel like I’m new to all of this. I still feel I have much to learn. Of course I also realize there are some members on here who have never had a session at all. I still feel new on this forum even though I have my orange feather. I’m wondering how many sessions do you think one needs to longer be considered a newbie? When do you consider someone an expert on the art of tickling? I'm curious as to what people think. I hope this wasn't a dumb question.

It's all in your head. You stop being a newbie when you stop feeling like one.

I've been to 6 gatherings, a bunch of munches and have had more hours of play than I can count (which is just a drop in a bucket compared to many around here - but it's a far cry from where I started out 3 years ago), and I still don't feel like an old pro. There are a million more things I want to try out and experience. I don't really ever expect a day to come where I just say, "Well - I've done it all. I'm done trying new things." That'd be boring. I'm a lifer-newb 😀

See it's all about what your goals are. I have no interest in being a fixture in the scene or community, but I've successfully integrated my kinkiness into my sex live and I feel like a veteran. I think it was being called a "kinky fuck" in bed that was my mission accomplished banner.

When you are tickle dso hard that snot comes out of your nose you are no longer a newbie...lol 🙂

If it's the same with tickling as with "When do you feel you are a grown-up", then the answer is probably "Never". 🙂

On the other hand, that is a good thing....because things that you get used to usually tend to get pretty damn boring!

Even though im not a newbie, i still get no respect here. im the Rodney Dangerfield of the TMF. :cynical:

I stopped feeling like a newbie on the TMF when I won my first Golden Feather Award (which was in April 2003 for 2002).

I stopped feeling like a newbie as a ticklee after about about a year of having sessions with Mistress Zara. 😀

I tend to agree that it depends on what your goals are. For example, as a 'ler, there are still new and exciting things I would like to try. New bondage positions and/or equipment, for one. Perhaps different kinds of roleplay as well. Having said that, I'll probably always feel like something of a newbie, since my sinister mind will always be attempting to come up with new ideas. 😉

15 years 7 months 4 days 5 hours and 26 minutes from now and not a second earlier. :snoopy:

Everyone's a newbie. We're all on a constant learning curve.

I wouldn't have it any other way. 😀

You've reached the orange feather and you still feel like a newbie? Then my stats are nothing compared to yours and i've been here since the beginning...lol.

For me, it was when i started meeting people and accepting the fetish inside. Having sessions with people certainly helped! Involving it into my personal life.

& Many More fun times to be had!!!

You'll stop feeling like a newb when you're comfortable - at that point, the question, "when do I stop feeling like a newb?" won't enter your mind. 🙂

I was a lurker from day 1 of the TMF, I've produced nearly 20 videos and have been into tickling as a fetish since the early 1990s yet I sometimes STILL feel like a newbie. I think until I am able to be in a relationship with a woman who is a 'lee I will continue to feel this way.:cupid:

First of all, there will always be someone kinkier than you.

And if you feel you could give a newbie advice, that means you're not a newbie anymore.
