When does tickling become obsession???

I've always wondered when tickling becomes obsession. Thinking about it all the time?? tickling someone 24-7?? Tell me what you think.

now here's some twisted logic for you: i don't think it becomes problematic as an obsession so long as its being satisfied.

once you don't get it when you crave it, it will feel obsessional.

Tickling becomes an obssesion when it effects everything in your life. Such examples are: the way you think, act, dress etc. My only other thought is if you begin to drastically go out of your way for it example: missing work, giving up sleep or food for tickling etc. And basically if it gets that bad perhaps you might need some help. But that's just my 2 cents.

Before I read this thread, I USED to think I was obsessed. I'm relieved to find out that I'm not. It doesn't really suit my personality to be obesessed by anything on this planet!
Oh, there are days, though, when it occupies my thoughts a little bit more than it should. Obsession? Nah.

If you're thinking about it all the time.

If it -- actual tickling, or surfing the internet on tickling --interferes with your sleep, or if it hinders relationships/friendships by making you less accessible, then I'd say that it's a destructive obsession. Anything carried out to the extremes can be destructive, in my opinion.

I think it reaches the point of obsession when you're spending $25.00
on a video or dvd if you think there's even the slightest of chances there might be a minute and 42 second tickle reference in said dvd or video.
And yes...I'm more than guilty of this🙄

The American Heritage Dictionary defines obsession as

1. Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.

2. A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion.

This is basically how I understood the word. If you are compulsive in your interest in tickling (and let's face it...Who here isn't?) than you can consider it an obsession. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, though. As long as you keep within the boundaries of acceptable social behavior while in public, then it's something that's kind of cool to live with.
