Where are the modern ticklephiles in Hollywood? Have they all disappeared?

Looking at so many old and great mainstream clips, it's clear that there were plenty of "us" around in the black and white days of yore. The creators of Popeye cartoons, the Three Stooges, a good amount of B&W Westerns, to name a few, clearly had writers and directors "getting their kicks" by writing occasional tickling scenarios into their plots and creations. We bow to them of course and thank them oh so very much! :bowing:

Sadly, they don't seem to exist anymore in modern American entertainment. Does anyone have any theories as to why this is?

There are SO many opportunities for some fantastic detailed scenarios these days. Interrogation scenes, massage moments, people trapped in funny situations and, like, for real tickled. But they rarely if ever happen in American mainstream movies and TV shows anymore.

Is there ANYONE here on the TMF who actually works in mainstream entertainment? (Staying anonymous, of course!) Got anything you're working on that we should keep an eye out for? We have tons of ideas. Let's get cracking! 🙂

Haha. Part of it might be the internet? Lol. While tickling is still extremely niche, there is a lot more fetish content to consume than there was back then. So, I suppose one could get off to writing a fetish script. Some people (writers, producers, directors, etc.) may be aware of us and avoid those scenarios, especially since there are more actors and actresses under the age of 18. This is all speculation, of course.

I must disagree, I believe tickling is way more mainstream than it's ever been. Firstly, they DO squeeze it into movies and TV shows, at least as much as they used to, if not more. Black and white movies? I'm a movie buff, and watch a ton of old movies, going back to the silent movie days.....tickles are VERY far and few between, and when you find one, it's definitely a big deal. (that's why I made such a thread, just for old black and white movies!)

Now? They tickle on game shows, they tickle on radio shows.....some radio show is now charging for Tickle Customs of two of their co-hosts! Not only does tickling itself crop up in more shows and movies, the celebs themselves post clips of themselves getting tickled, or tweet our they're ticklish, out of the blue! They get asked if they're ticklish in interviews...... etc etc. Tickle-fetish itself is now known about much more in the mainstream, and sometimes the kink itself becomes a plot point, or at least referenced in a show. People in general are more likely to have heard about "tickle fetish" than they were 20 yeas ago, much less 50!

If it's not MORE mainstream these days....then it's definitely equal to how I remember it in the 70s, 80s and 90s. And I definitely don't expect to see tickling in the older movies I am constantly watching, from the turn of the century right through the 60s, it's always a shock and a surprise. With the Hayes Code? I wouldn't be surprised to learn if that was on the list of things you COULDN'T do onscreen! (They had all sorts of rules. A woman couldn't be milking a cow, that was one. Forget tickling!)

Maybe there's not as much of it in TV or movies, but there's still a lot of tickling fetish content out there thanks to the internet. And it's easier to find because of it.

I still see tickling occur or be discussed for a short time in a show or movie every now and then, though.

I agree with what everyone said about tickling itself occurring more frequently, what I'm saying more is that there doesn't seem to be any clear and rabid ticklePHILES (like us!) in mainstream entertainment anywhere. Like, the biggest foot fetishist is Quentin Tarentino, right? Everyone knows that (well, every foot fetishist does). He's not into tickling though or we would have seen some great tickle torture scene in one of his movies by now.

If the TMF existed in the 30s and 40s we'd be on here gabbing away each time the Three Stooges released a new short, or there was a new Popeye cartoon coming out, wondering what new tickling scenario they'll conjure up. And THEY, THEMSELVES, would anonymously be here on the TMF, I have no doubt.

Today though, mainstream tickling seems to occur more out of happenstance. I don't think any of the writers or creators where mainstream tickling occurs these days are legitimately "one of us." (If you disagree, please point out modern examples!)

Yes, I do agree with the theory that most ticklephiles who are creators likely gravitate toward fetish-specific entertainment, which didn't really exist back in the day.

Would be great though if there were actual ticklephiles out there lurking in mainstream entertainment today. I keep waiting for the creme de la creme tickle torture scene or extended massage or medical tickle in a huge movie or tv show. (Call me crazy but I was holding out for a tickle torture scene in Game of Thrones, with either Cersei when she was captured, or the nun when she was tortured by the Mountain. They totally could have gotten away with it and wouldn't have been weird at all. One character at one point even mentioned a torturer she wanted to kill called "The Tickler" but what she described was quite the opposite of real tickling, unfortunately) Where it's clear that the person either doing the tickling or the script writer is without a doubt "one of us."

That's all I'm saying! 🙂

My thoughts are that it is more open and free since people.are more open to things (after a fashion) in a "fetish" light. However I think if you look at media outside of the US, it's more accepted and common. Brazil, and the remainder of S.A., as well.as Germany, Scandinavia, and France seem.to have less hang ups about the intrusion and physicality of the act of tickling. They are able to bridge a gap that the USA (media viewing audience) would of could consider straight up abuse and unlawful. Just my opinion based on what I've observed

well, with all due respect, it's all conjecture how many true "Ticklephiles" were/are in Hollywood, or anywhere else.

That said: there are ALOT of actors who are known to tickle. Channing Tatum tickled two different actresses, in two different movies....then talked about it in promotional interviews. Ben Affleck is known to tickle, at least two or three different actresses. David Duchovny, George Clooney, Matthew Mconaheehaw (however you spell it).....Cara DeVelielgne (ditto)....Bill Murray is still around.....David Boreanaz, Khloe Kardashian is always tickling her sisters.....etc

I'm not in Hollywood, but when I used to write plays, EVERY female character got tickled, usually a page after being introduced! lol. It resulted in a LOT of unfinished plays! lol
