My whole opinion on this story is this:
What the hell did she expect walking into a room full of half naked men? The woman looks real attractive, and she's surprised she was catcalled? C'mon, she damn well KNOWS she's attractive and now she feels uncomfortable?
All this talk about equal access and professionalism is fine. But you have to have it BOTH ways. Men reporters should be able to go into women locker rooms. Why can't they? Seriously, if a woman can walk into a room full of half naked men, why can't a man walk into a locker room of half naked women?
"Because men are perverts and will think sexually, not professionally." some women will gripe.
But, you stick a woman into a men's locker room, and keep in mind "men are perverts and will think sexually, not professionally", then what do you think will happen?
This whole story is full of double standards. It shouldn't have been an issue...... Should men be professional around the female reporters? Of course. But if you walk into a "man cave" dammit, expect something from them. Or, better yet, give male reporters equal access to women's locker rooms. It's all about professionalism right?
