Has anyone seen/heard anything from her recently?

I've not seen her around the forum/on msn for quite some time now-which seems rather unlike her. :umm: 🙁

Just in case, do ya think we should start putting her picture on milk cartons? 😵

'Tis the holiday season. Members tend to vanish about this time as they migrate to different family gatherings or events. Usually most pop back on after the New Year, aye aye.

I have her. The ransom is fifty Mars Bars. Kingsize.

We'll be watching.

North Wales is unguarded now... >.>

Nah - that'd be mean as hell. 😀 *does it anyway*

Last I heard, LK was rocketing across the African Savannah in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated gyro-sled.

Snail Shell

Where on Earth is Lonely Kimiko?

* Cue Carmen Sandiego theme music... *

Ah! There we go! A memory from the '90s!

...

I think C.S. was kinda hot... in a sexually ambiguous sort of way...
Wonder why nobody consistently featured her in tk art.

'Cause they could never find her.

Have any of you checked her Deviant Art site? Maybe she has posted there or at least logged in.

Maybe she's flying in space or traveling beneath the earth's crust or being tickled.....or something. I don't know. You come up with a better hypothesis.

My theory is, she's just decided that for the time being she'd hide, and see how long it took for people to get worried ^_^

Still alive and around, just on a break. Will be back soon I hope...

Aah! But technically aren't you back since you posted that? 😛 Don't make me nail your boots to the floor so you can't leave again like that.

lol I'm guilty of havin a crush on her when I was a kid. I think it was her voice :] The video game was the best peice of edutainment ever; I would fantasize about ticklin' her after I found her over, and over, and over...

Okay, stop lookin' at me like that :cross: 😛

Looking like what?
I wholeheartedly agree.

Besides, Broederbund was also responsible for Prince of Persia, a legacy we cannot simply ignore.

🙂

Ah yes, Prince of Persia! I remember back in 4th grade, when our computer lab had Dos. After we did our QBasic lesson the teach would let us play "Prince" for a while xD I remember this one dude in our class who knew the cheat to get to the last level, I refused to use it though...

I never, ever managed to finish that game. I have it on emulator and I'm still trying to conquer it lol.

There was this other game that r0xx0rzd my s0xx0rz: Alley Cat lol. I'm going to see if I can find that online...

I had no idea Carmen Sandiago was a cartoon =P always thought it was just a video game. I wonder where I put that CD <_<

Ah, yes, the spitting cat! It was fun. I remember playing it on my C64, and it had responsive controls, and a decent gameplay.

It is all about controls and gameplay. Once you get the plot twists right, it is all down on controls and gameplay. Doom did not get popular because of its innovative storyline... 😀

Take PoP2: they tweaked the game and the main char lost his responsiveness.
Controls got clumsy. Never got around to play PoP2 more than a few minutes, before uninstalling the whole lot.

...

Speaking of tight controls, I used to like Barbarian/Death Sword.
Specially the Amiga version, cause it was easier than the C64 game, altough it was more prone on devolving into a roll-lock fest, with neither fighter capable of gaining the upper hand.

I didn't even bother with PoP2, saw a demo of it at the computer store back when I realized it came out and...meh.

A couple of other games that I felt had shaky controls (or it could have been blamed on my being all-thumbs back then): Fade to Black and Abe's Odyssey.

Barbarian/Death Sword sounds interesting 🙂 I've never heard of nor had the chance of playing that one.
