I am wanting to relocate outta Ohio, i just wanna hear about some places that are great to live in..i heard Miami is cool..reply with some places u think are great to live in.

Despite public (uneducated) opinion New Jersey is a very nice place to live. At least it is up north here. Also we have the distinct advantage of having NO natural disasters. Though growing up in California I still won't sleep with anything on the wall over my head. 😛

Personally? I liked living in North Carolina, and will like it again when I move back. Nice people, not too far south, although some parts are far away from civilization. Nice beaches as well.

For scenery: Oregon, near Portland. Still near a major city, but close to the Columbia River valley and Mt. Hood, with its year-round skiing. Cold ocean, though, but milder than you might think climate wise.

Connecticut, where I am now, isn't too bad, although it is quite crowded in some places.

Colorado is real nice for scenery as well, especially in the winter. Being out here on the east coast I sorta miss seeing real mountains.
If you've ever heard nice things about Montana however, don't believe it. 😛

Miami is lookin like my fave choice right now..im not sure if id live in the city of miami or a 'burb outside of it..i know i want to become a season ticket holder of the Dolphins..win or lose i love my 'Phins..Plus miami looks to have some cool nitelife..other than cali and NYC

I love ohio! No busy places....Nice...Relaxing...Calm...Plenty of space, along with easy driving! mmm, I don't know why you would want to leave!

im bored with this state
there isnt a thing to do.
only thing i do is root for the buckeyes, cavs, indians, and falcons(bowling green st.)
driving is easy unless u have to go through cleveland, columbus or cincy during rush hour
its not a bad state at all. its really relaxing actually but id rather go to a faster paced area..one thing i love about ohio is the snow!!

Texas.
Its not full of redneck hicks that people have labeled it to be, its home to Dr.
Pepper,wide open spaces.

Warning-You do have to watch out for the Texas size twisters.

someone told me texas was home to steers and queers..oh wait that was full metal jacket

Okay one thing you have to let people know is what you are looking for in a new home area. I love where I live but it would not be considered exciting. I live in the country, Deleware Valley region of New York, Pennsylvania accross the river is awesome also. If you want nightlife this is not the area. Miami is cool but it depends where you live there. give some thought to what you want and let us know we can give better advise then.

I live in Colorado and I think it's hard to beat for a great place to live. Florida is fine for a vacation but it's too humid for me to live there. If you insist on relocating to the Miami area I think the suburbs would be the best place rather than Miami itself.

I love Philly or Pittsburgh...my heart is in both cities at once, as my parents are in Philly, and I am at school in the Burgh...friendly people out here in the burgh...crazy weather, but really nice place. I, like HDS, have some Connecticut experience. I lived there from the time I was 10 months old until I was 7 or 8. I loved the countryside, and all of the farms--everyone had such a slow pace and a true sense of community. And, I lived near New Haven, so the city wasn't far, and neither was the beach. I was born in Miami, but I don't remember anything about it...however, I'm a Phin's fan myself, and can't stress enough the love I feel for my original home turf...I dunno...there are so many beautiful places in this world to live...I say see them all, then decide!!! 😛

hey...you forgot to mention Big Red and BBQ...!!

they couldn't pay me enough money to move anywhere in Florida...I don't like swamps, and the humidity is horrendous...although I've heard the Ocala area is nice!

Hey Naveltklr,

Question: Where is a great place to live?

If I was in my 20's again and was looking for a place with:
1.) Nice weather
2.) Incredible nightlife
3.) Beautiful outdoor scenery
4.) Extremely beautiful indoor scenery (women)
5.) Lots of transplants (so you don't feel too much like and outsider)
6.) Big city atomsphere and culture in a not-so-big city
7.) 2 1/2 hour drive from the beach
8.) 30 minute drive from large lakes.
9.) Great food.
10.) A moderate cost of living for all these ammenities.

Answer: My answer would be Austin, Texas. It's changed alot from the time I attended school there, but it is still a great place to be. If you love live music, it may have the highest concentration in the country. There is a reason why it is known as the "Third Coast". The biggest draw back is the traffic at rush hour, but I guess your going to have to accept a little traffic if you want to get to a city with a lot of action. As far as your Dolphins, hey, there is always Direct TV.

If I could live anywhere, it'd be the USA. If I got the chance, I'd pick somewhere like Miami where it's permanent summertime. Of course my choice of destination is completely coloured by the fact that America has a great many more ticklephiles than the UK and that a place like Miami is frequented by females wearing skimpy tops and no footwear compounds it. 😀

Anyway, enough of my perverty-ness and chauvanism...
