The last one isn't too bad. As for the rest.... 🙄 The problem is that there are so many jerks out there who only want to look at the negatives that the many positive things happening are being overshadowed and people are less likely to want to help. Junk like those shirts simply reinforces the negative attitudes and won't help matters any. If I were to meet the person (or persons) who designed those shirts, I think I'd give them a swift kick in the ass. But, that's just me.

Jo, I dont know you either but have seen your posts as long as ive been around this place. My heart goes out to you, your loved ones and everyone that has had to go through this. Im very pleased to hear that you are alright and did make it through. I wish you and everyone the best and if I wasnt unemployed and very tight on cash at the moment, I would def be sending supplys and anything else financal needed I could to help out everyone over there.

On another note I took a peek at those T Shirt thingies...all I gotta say is the fucking evil robotic media does it again! I really hate those SOB's! I wish nothing but bad things to anyone even involved in the media and who backs the evil and sick shit they do. It really angers me 😡

Are they actually selling those t-shirts? I think that is disgraceful if they are. To turn this tragedy into a joke is not very funny.

Thank you for that incredible, moving, and life affirming post.

It is very hard for people in the UK (despite blanket coverage on the news) to get a real perspective on all of this. At times one began to think the storm only took place at the New Orleans Superdome. Then occasionally we were reminded that the area affected was the size of the UK (a difficult concept for us to grasp). Similarly the media (over here anyway) tended to think the real issue was president Bush's poll approval ratings. That in itself is a particular UK phenomena, in so much whenever something happens in our country, it is always seen as something a politician needs to comment on or resolve ! Anyway yours is the first thing on this that I have read that has not been filtered through the news media, and is therefore all the more real for that.

God speed through these bad times, and my hope is that recovery of your lives comes sooner rather than later.
