Where's Waldo?

Does anyone here remember the "Where's Waldo?" children's books in which you searched a very crowded scene to find the Waldo character? Did you ever look closely at the entire scenes? Several of them showed people (women, usually) locked in stocks, stretched on racks, etc. and usually with another person tickling their feet with a feather. Anyone else ever catch that?😉

I still own the "Where's Waldo in hollywood" book...

Plenty of fun tickle activities in there... :laughing:

I stopped looking for waldo a while ago... the tickle scenes are too distracting! :super_hap

Yeah I remember, though, about the "women usually" that's half way wrong. It was mostly guys getting tickled, but the hollywood book it had 7 girls tickled in one pic so they end up outnumbering men slightly.

Wow... now that you've reminded me of it, I can remember clearly some examples I saw. I never knew back then what had interested me so much in those scenes, either.

In one scene, I think it was a circus or carnival, there's an octopus tickling 7 or 8 female swimmers sitting around the pool's edge.

In another, medieval setting, there's a complex cave system where people are crawling around in tight passages, and the tail of a snake is tickling a male soldier's foot.

i remember them clearly! (But over in the UK it's "Where's Wally" for some reason) 😀

I distinctly recall a scene on an aquatic theatre-set where there were tons of girls in bathing suits up to various activities, in one section there was an octopus in a tank (of water 😛) tickling about 10 girls bare feet.

For a 12 year old it was a lot to take in 😛

The one I remember is a medieval scene with guys and girls getting their feet feathered in stocks. I found that VERY fascinating even at a young age. 🙂

It is from the "Where's Waldo in Hollywood" book... There are quite a few tickle scenes in it as well. This thread just made me dig this old book out... :laughing:

Here is the octopus one...

This tickle scene, is perhaps one of the most blatant ones in the series! The setting takes place in a musical movie production filled with different themes.

The first pic shows the whole section of the women in bathing suits...the green tickling octopus is in the middle...

The second pic is a close-up of the tickle action! :laughing:
