Which is easier?

I was wondering, for those of you who are married or in a relationship. Do you find it easier to confess your fetish to someone you are seeing or someone who you are married too? I ask cause some people may or may not take it likely. (I have no clue why though)

That's a tough one, but I think it is easier to confess it to someone your seeing because you don't have as much to lose as you do with your mate.

I would guess it would be harder to tell your spouse. It means you've been hiding it for that much longer, and have been hiding it despite serious commitment and supposed complete trust.

I think it'd be easier to tell someone you're seeing, because if they reject you for it it's much easier to find another relationship than it is in a marriage. Not to mention, I'd be pretty pissed if my husband kept something like that from me. I'm all about open and honest communication. I don't like secrets.

well....it`s not something I tell everyone I date but long before the marriage thing come up she`d know we`d had that talk

i was married 4 years, he knew i "liked" tickling from when we were dating, but didnt really know about anythiing else- looking back, subconscious decision i think- scared of rejection from a spouse... turned out for the better anyways!!!!! 🙂

so my end opinion in all honesty is everyone is different ... i find it easier to confess things to people im not dating then people i am...

This one is tough, I think. I am actually going through this now. My wife knew while we were dating. It was one of the first things I told her, actually. She said it was perfectly fine and sounded like fun. We were married 2 yrs later. 4 years after that, I am struggling through an impending divorce. She thinks this fetish is a sickness and I need professional help. Bottom line is, make sure she knows early, but make sure she understands as well.
