a simple test to prove it is just simply find several people have them lay on their stomachs barefoot feet down and then sneak up behind them and use only one(1) finger on one(1) of their soles giving them a quick foot tickle.
then witness their lovely ticklish reaction and when youre done with all of them make an analysis of which foot tickled gives the better ticklish reaction

DO NOT tickle like you scratched it or in some retarded fashion or frenzy (which i know most of you perverted characters may do and totally screw this up) with more than one finger and i dont think testing this with your thumb is practical or effective.
