Complaints are not criticisms. What the quoted persons offered were criticisms, specifically what they thought would improve the piece of art. Both individuals, in fact, praised the artwork first before stating what they thought would improve it.
I restarted this post three or so times, going on about the idea of criticism and improving as an artist, but it isn't entirely relevant as the picture in question was a commissioned one; with that in mind I can understand some of the posts, but I still politely disagree with everyone who has already posted, for any number of hypothetical reasons that I couldn't possibly know without speaking directly to the artist, commissioner, and quoted posters.
Really though, I don't see why everyone is upset. I think these individuals were just offering their feedback, and don't deserve to be bashed for it. Had they said something like, "What the fuck is this? No nudies/foot tickling?! Garbage!" Then I would understand your complaints, but that really isn't what happened at all; both individuals stated it was a good piece and offered their own criticisms as to what they would have liked to see for the artists benefit (again, moot because commission, but yeah). As it is, I think the only issue here is that the work was commissioned, and though I can see a defensive stance to take concerning that topic, I'll choose not to. If they didn't read the post/word commissioned/just didn't know for whatever reason, well... that still falls on them.
