Who came up with the idea of having tickling videos in commercial companies?

I wonder who in the tickling fetish companies came up with the idea to focus on tickling or who had a tickling fetish or interest in tickling in those companies. For example, what about in the footparadise videos? Was it the mother or the daughters who had the fetish?

Cal-Star was the first company to go into tickling videos in a big way in the late 1980's early 90's. Why? Money. They found out they could sell tapes. So tickling got tossed into the production mix of bondage, S&M, watersports, and spanking.

Harmony found out the same thing, and added tickling to thier bondage, spanking, S&M, DiD, and superhero lines. There was money to be found in the fetish.

FM came next, tickling fit well with their foot fetish oriented line. So they added it.

THEN came the independents. Solefully yours, MTP, Bloodstone, ANA, Rock, TC, FP, SilverCherry,and more. These are the folks who got into it because of a like... you'll need to ask them as to why each individually. Good luck 🙂

And this is a very simplified retrospective. Companies left out were due to my faulty memory, or desire to keep it simple. No slight intended.

A plethora of info Myr as usual BUT the question the man raised was as I understand it was what made them start tickling in the vids?
HOW did they find out about tickling being a "seller"?
Was it someone IN the production company who had the fetish and just said, "hey lets make a video with a woman being tickled senseless"?
Were there write in suggestions from people into tickling?

Well I can't speak for CalStar or FM, but I can for Harmony, thanks to a chat I had with Lorelei once. It was letters and requests that prompted them to try it. Small tickling bits in other types of videos brought a lot of responce so they followed up and tried a dedicated one. It made money... so the tk line continued.

Harmony is planning a new tickling line soon. The details are sketchy, but something new is on the way from this bondage leader.

I just saw this thread, but thanks to AIDS/HIV anything fetish-oriented became what people tended to gravitate to and the manufacturing side of the market provided the the material.

And don't forget the video revolution that put inexpensive production into the hands of many. Before that there were just the magazines.
Now were swamped with people producing videos. Good thing, eh?
