Who goes to music festivals?

We're hoping to get over to the free jazz festival in Hartford today. And, we'll be attenting another festival out of state in a few weeks. Soooo, I got wondering. Who all here enjoys going to music festivals and what you like to do while you're there.

I go to a lot of Latino music festivals.
Reminds me of my childhood in Arizona with all my moms family around...good times.
I go for the music, the food, and the beautiful latino women.
Good times, good times.

I love to go, as long as the promoters work hard to keep the crowd cool, lots of shade, sprinkler sprayer (whatever those things are called), etc.

I go if there is good music. Last year was Ozzfest 05, outside in the blistering heat and sun from 9 am till about 11 pm, i didnt go this year but i went to the sounds of the underground tour which was about 2 pm till sundown, again, bad heat\sun but worth it

I really need to hit up the chicago blues fest one of these days

Next on the menu is the Tomato Festival, then Dreadstock. What I like to do is eat and listen to live music. There's usually a good vibe from the people you meet too. You can find something worth buying from the vendors as well.

I got a free ticket to Warped Tour (this is what happens when you're part of a street team) but I only have one and I don't want to go alone, so I'll probably end up selling it.


There are some bands I'd like to see there, but in the heat and by myself, no matter how much free shit I'd get, I don't think it'd be that fun.

LOL Wellllll.....the festival we THOUGHT we were going to yesterday was actually LAST weekend! Damn it all! So, we hung here, watched a couple of movies and went to a fabulous new (to us) place for dinner. Normally when we do music festivals, we take a cooler with our own food and drinks, the lawn chairs and a couple good books. Then, we just sit, relax and enjoy. It makes for a nice day. And there are always loads of interesting (and normally friendly) people to watch/gab with.
