Who Is The Greatest Heavy Metal Band Of All Time?

It's a very good question Electric. Maiden are still doing very well in the UK and across most of the globe. The problem Maiden have always had, is that for most of their musical career their songs have never been given the radio airplay which they deserve. I think many other bands have suffered through lack of airplay as well, but Maiden somehow were able to overcome this.

4. Nelson- Ya, I know what I put, but dammit, Love and Affection and After the Rain ROCK, and it just pisses off Meems when I throw them in as Metal Icons.

Has anyone seen Nelson lately? I've been watching them on VH1's "I Love the 90's Part Deux" over the past few days. They have obviously aged and cut their hair now, and I can't help noticing they look exactly like Ellen Degeneres and Melissa Etheridge....

Mimi 😉

LOL! 😀

Too funny, Mimi! I haven't seen the TV-bit you speak of, but as soon as you posted that, I could envision it!

Yeah, well....

I guess it's not like a wussy-ass band having a heavy metal name, like, for example....oh, I don't know, let's say....

SAVAGE GARDEN?!?

I could get kicked in the balls and not reach notes that high....

Say what you want....Nelson was the shit, and that's that....

To quote Rick Springfield---

" I wish that I was Jesse's girl....

Where can I find a red dress like that?"

Who Never Made A Weak Album?

Nelson fit in the Heavy Metal category about as well as Rev. Al Sharpton would fit in at a KKK meeting! Ill give the sissies this though I believe they were in Matrix:Revolutions as the albino twins and they were pretty good as actors. Yknow my intial choice Judas Priest even went glam a bit with the release of their Turbo CD. Iron Maiden NEVER bowed to "hair band mania". Maiden always marched to the beat of their drummer and never really put out a weak album since their inception. Ok maybe Virtual XI but no that was still good if not great. Black Sabbath put out a weak album "Never Say Die". Ozzy put out a ton of them. How about King Diamond/Mercyful Fate? They paved the way for black metal bands that are so popular today. I even have a ticket to see the King on April 19 on times square if the snow here melts by then! Oh and King never put out a weak album either. Long Live the King!

The One and ONLY Choice!

For "older" music I have to say Guns and Roses. They were the first "hard rock" group I have ever listen to and loved it! I have been listening to them all my life and they only put out one not so good cd. Others I would say have to be Megadeth, Metallica (Black album and bellow), and yes Ozzy.

For newer music I would have to include Marilyn Manson and Korn.
