Who Would Trade With The Mavericks For Dirk Nowitzki?

Just think worst case cenario, the Mavs can't put anything around him to help, Kidd walks else where, 2010 doesnt work out like we would hope it would, and it becomes time to look to the future.

I would love to trade him to the Lakers (primetime, I'm hoping your reading this) In my mind I would trade Dirk to the Lakers for Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic, Andrew Bynum, Shannon Brown, some draft pics and cash exemption.

What deals wold any of you be willing to make?

This is a very intriguing and yet a puzzling question.

When I first read this I thought you were a Mavs fan yet it appears you are a Lakers fan instead.

The plan is to try to sign Bosh , who is from Dallas, and then try to lure Wade to Dallas to play with Bosh and Dirk. the chances are that Kidd won`t resign with the Mavs unless he will take a major, I mean major pay cut .

If the Mavs fail on the plan above to bring in any of guys mentioned above, it still doesn`t make sense for the Mavs to dump Dirk for the SPARE-PARTS players you mentioned above. Bynum is the only one who has any value and he looks like he may be another Walton; that is always hurt or injured. The Lakers would win a minimum of 65 games with Dirk so the draft picks would sux majorly.

The reason I think you may be a Lakers fan is it sounds like you want Dirk to fall in the Lakers laps for absolutely nothing just like the Pau Gasol trade. Several Gm`s in the league went to the NBA because the Gasol trade looked like collusion in their eyes.

Hey Lonestar, there is no way in the world I would make that trade if I am Mitch Kupchak. Dirk is not worth all those guys. We would have the softest front court in the history of the NBA. Dirk is soft. Very talented. But soft, soft, soft. That is Gasol's problem as well. Bynum just needs confidence. Before he got hurt, he was starting to roll. There is no way I give up his post presence.

Another reason why I wouldn't make the trade is that we would lose Farmar, Brown and Vujacic. Who are the other guards beside Kobe and Fisher? Both are in their 30s. This is the deal killer really.

What the Lakers need and I have been pining for this FOREVER is some veteran power forward/center who is "rugged". I wished we got James Posey. I wish we picked up some "wily" veteran. We need some more toughness. If we had Posey, man, we would be that more dangerous.

Dirk can stay in Dallas. No way I would give up all those guys for Dirk.

Relax Flock, Im still a Mavs fan rowdy proud and loud.

I'm just playing around with the idea is all, the Kevin Garrett deal got me think is all and reason I wanted to trade Dirk to the Lakers is because I would think they could get the most in value.

I would love it if they got Bosh and Wade in Dallas, trade away dead weight Dampier and Stackhouse to Phoenix for Amar’e Stoudermire (a trade that worked on realgm.com and would work if Phoenix went brain dead) and made one more run at righting the wrongs of 2006.
