Why are belly buttons so fascinating? (And ticklish.)

For as long back as I can remember I have had a fascination with belly buttons. I can remember in grade school always wanting to wear belly shirts to show off my belly button, and being a mixture of embarrassed/intrigued/delighted when other girls did and I could peek at their belly buttons. In a way I think my love for tickling stemmed from this because my own belly button is extremely ticklish and I have always loved the idea of tickling in general, but especially tickling (female) bellies and belly buttons.

I feel like I've met so many people on opposite ends of the spectrum who either love belly buttons or don't care for them at all. It was actually very surprising to me to start going onto tickle websites, talking with people, and finding out that seemingly few people have ticklish belly buttons... surprising to me, as I have always simply accepted that my own belly button is a very sensitive, ticklish spot. Does anyone else have a love for belly buttons, and how does it relate to tickling for you?
 
A girl picking somethings up on a shelf showing her belly button or sleeping her belly exposed by inadvertence are really teasing and deserve a very light feather !!
 
they are not. either fascinating or ticklish in my experience.

My navel is quite ticklish. I believe that it is for the same reason that the skin between my toes is ticklish--because it is very rarely touched.

Hmmm, you bring up a very good point! Aside from myself, no one ever touches my belly button, which could definitely contribute to its ticklishness. Just how ticklish is your navel, milagros317?
 
I've known girls who were not remotely ticklish on their belly buttons and girls who could barely stand to have them touched. I think it's one target that needs to be approached quite carefully and with a delicate almost teasing touch in order to get tickling reactions. Just poking your finger inside like you're hitting a door buzzer won't get the job done but if you take your time with a soft touch, a gentle blow now and again, can yield some nice reactions.

The anticipation you can generate by threatening to blow a raspberry can be more fun than the reaction itself. I don't know if they tickle so much but they are always fun and generate a lot of laughter and shrieking. I had one girlfriend who quickly learned that worked both ways.

I love a nice toned stomach and innie belly button and always have. I can't explain why anymore than those people who get giddy over feet or nylons.
 
Mine isn't overly ticklish, but raspberries and light tickles on the rim makes me go nuts. As someone who loves tummy rubs, it usually incites a bit of a tummy tickle, which is great.
 
The belly button is one of my worst spots. Also probably the spot that turns me on the most when a skilled lady's tongue is employed. I absolutely love a woman with a ticklish belly button!
 
Because dig far enough and you'll find gold.

But I always enjoy blowing raspberries, even more if they generate hysteria.

I don't know, I'm generally more of a sides tickler.
 
I'm not going to lie, I'm a little annoyed by the couple negative comments on this post... they're probably foot freaks whom get upset when someone is actually not about feet on here.. but moving on...

I love bellies... love playing with belly buttons.. And I must say I love belly shirts, not for the showing of the belly button but for the whole belly.. Female bellies are an awesome thing. and when they're not in belly shirts but the shirt is barely covering up their belly and when they stretch to reach for something or whatever that makes the shirt ride up, revealing the belly a little.. so hot...

And I also must say, it's nice to see someone talk about getting into tickling because of something to do with bellies... so many people mention a foot tickling scene from ninja turtles that got them into tickling... and well.. bellies are so much better 😀
 
The one thing about belly buttons is it's a pressure point spot. It's in the core, it's sensitive to the touch, and a lee can draw an idea of how overall ticklish they are from touching it. I've had a few lees request I DON'T tickle their belly button as it's sensitive, it bothers them, it's a high "risk" area (like some have said "it might make me sick"). So whether or not bellies are hot, I haven't gotten a ton of chances overall to "push the button".

I do remember the one Lee I've mentioned a bunch of times here that told me I set her belly button on fire from tickling. .....lol

Very ticklish, but it is not one of my favorite spots to be tickled.
 
I don't know that anyone's ever tried tickling my navel; my impression is that it's not overly ticklish but I guess I have no evidence to support that. My stomach, though -- so I guess that means pretty much everywhere around the navel -- is crazy ticklish, and I'm convinced the involuntary dance my abdominal muscles dutifully perform when tickled -- receding, fluttering and quivering in an apparently hilarious fashion -- helps to encourage my tormentor to continue whatever she's doing to keep the show going.

I'm not much of a tickler but I do think a woman's abdomen, whatever its shape, is a lovely thing, and a soft downy fur around or above the navel makes it all the more appealing.

I'm a die hard belly fan too. I love tickling bellies and belly buttons. I also love the belly shirts and shirts that barely cover the belly and ride up. 🙂
 
personally I don't find the belly button itself very appealing
However those curves either side of it is a different story
 
I've loved bellybuttons my entire life...a woman's belly and navel are esquisit to me. There are varying shapes, sizes, depths and sensitivities. I find a woman's bellybutton to be quite sexy. I know not everyone's is ticklish, sensitive or even sometimes they don't like theives to be touched because it's feels weird.
I can't help but want to finger or lick and sometimes when that rim is just right can even suckle and nibble on it 🙂

They are often hidden by clothing and on the rare occasion they're exposed, is somewhat exciting to me. Especially if it's at an event where I don't expect to see a woman's belly exposed, even enough skin to reveal her navel. That could be a contributing factor as to why they're so fascinating because they aren't exposed as often as someone's bare feet, legs, arms etc.

I have always loved belly button tickling. I love when a girl has a navel which is large enough for me to see and tickle the skin on the bottom. Do you have any personal experiences to share?
 
I am a guy who has used my belly button as a tease for the girls. Stretching in a classroom was a favorite. My navel is large and deep so it always would draw attention
 
Hmmm why do i get attracted to Girls bellybuttons? ........ Really don't know what made me become attracted to Bellybuttons. All i know is when i see a bellybutton become exposed on a nice looking girl my eyes get zoned in. or even if she's exposing her midriff entirely then it's got my attention. But i can't come to a reason on why that little hole attracts me to it. Now then again i'm fond of a girls stomach not just the bellybutton but even that i think some Girls bellies are beautiful and sexy looking but i don't understand why i like them.

So to me i don't know why i love Girls bellybuttons but all i know is i will keep enjoying the view and the tickle fantasies that come with it!
 
I don't think I even had to search to discover that navels were an object of fascination for some people.

("Embarrassed / intrigued / delighted" is quite a good verbal triangulation on a feeling central to a variety of similar preoccupations.)
