I used to be able to save pictures off the internet now when I right click and save picture as, it looks as if it saves but then when i go to find it in the folder i saved it to it is not there.
Can anyone help me??
I'm using firefox.
And my c: drive has enough memory on it. I can save videos just not pages and pictures! :wavingguy :atom: :wowzer:

Have you checked where your computer saves it to? I once thought I was saving things to My Pictures but I was accidentally saving them to My Videos. You know, something simple like that.

Indeed, kered has it: check where Firefox is saving the image. To check, go to Tools>>>Options and look on the "General" tab for the "Dowloads" section. Is "Save Files To" selected? If so, where is it pointed to? That's where your images are.

Write down the name of a pic you just 'saved', then use the Windows Search facility to find out where it is. If Search doesn't find it on any drive (C, or D, or any other drives you have) then it is not being saved to disk and you have a weird problem.

It's best to use the '*' wildcard when searching.
For instance if you're looking for ticklepicture7.jpg, enter ticklep* as the search argument.

I'm not aware of any Firefox setting that would cause this, but you might want to try saving with IE as an experiment.

I would honestly use the search function to look for the pics you're downloading BEFORE you go and wipe your computer. As many others here have said, the problem more than likely is that its auto-saving pictures to some file you're not aware of.
