You have no idea how he is treated by the wonderful people up there on a daily basis...the looks he gets for being a little "different"...the comments made...(such as your very own) all racial in nature....

Until you feel what it is like, dont begrudge him the right to complain....It is good you feel you live in the best place...I feel the same about my country...

Both of us can't be right of course...except for ourselves....we have no right to judge what others feel..

I've been in situations where I was the only person like me, and had to deal with racist attitudes coming from other people. I don't blame my country for it, I blame the people for it. I also find it very hard to have sympathy for anybody who comes from a culture that is renound for opressing the women in it's comunity while bitching about being treated unfairly. If Moses has a problem with the way he is treated he can do 1 of 3 things. Accept it, try to do something to chainge the publics perseption of his cultrure (aka publicly speaking out against radical members of his comunity), or leave. Everytime he shit on Canada, I am going to be there to shuve it back up is ass.

It's called "Earning Your Spot" my ancestors did it for me, and he is doing it for his descendants now. I'm not saying that it's right, I am simply saying that it is part of the process. Maybe I was a little out of line to say what I said. However, when you here about this, and then see some peope complain about the way they are treated in Canada you wonder why they came here if they are just going to bring thier backwards way of life with them. Moses has to understand that as long as the shit in the above new article happens he is going to have to deal with people saying the stuff they are saying. If he were to form a cultural comunity group that was willing to speak publicly against this sort of action (weather he's Indian, Packastani, Arab or what have you) then people would know their was a stong faction against this sort of thing.

I make more in salary than any retail union man makes and the benefits are good. And I have no dues to pay..

Originally unions were created to make sure folks were getting decent working conditions and a fair rate of pay for a fair days work....Government regulations have taken care of all that...

All the unions do now is rape their members with dues....

You are wrong....nobody should have to "earn a spot"....nobody should be judged based on religion, ethnicity, or where they or their ancestors come from...

First of all, congrats to you. Next, I am not wrong. If Unions were gone all those Government regulations would vanish. Besides, all the Government up here regulated is minimum wage, do you really think a skilled trades worker should make $10.oo/hr because that is all people are obligated to pay. My grandfather was a Teamster, my father is a member of the IBEW, and thanks to them, I spent my child hood with a roof over my head, well fed, and great gifts come Christmas. The union I am in has allowed me to get my teeth fixed (cause I had made a real mess of them) and they benefits covered 80% of the yearly work I have had done.

Unions aren't perfect, but I am better off with one then without. If they were gone everything working people have fought for would be gone.

Everybody has to earn their spot in society, that's how communities build. Small minds are what keep women in desert countries draped in heavy fabric in 100+ degree temperatures, and choke them to death when they decide they aren't going to do it when they come here. I didn't move to there country, if I did I would have to learn to tolerate that things are different there, they came here. Most of them claim they came her to get out from under dictators and ruthless regimes, only to bring them here with them. They have to adapt to this country, and it's people. We don't have to adapt to or tolerate them, especially when they bring their cave man mentality from their desert cesspool home lands.

You should ask your self why those other people are making less. I know in Japan they sacrifice wages for other things. You didn't have to bail out the Auto Industry with tax money, if the big 4 had fallen their would have been other auto companies to fill the void, they chose too. What you should ask yourself their is, why are the bosses giving themselves million in bonuses while asking the workers to take cuts in pay and benefits. Only 15% of what you pay to buy your car goes to the coast of building it. The rest of it is paying for the Lear jets and vacations of the big shots who fucked up the auto industry to begin with. When things were going well $40.oo/hr was a good rate when the guys at the top are rolling in cash. The Joe's who make the company roll lost their jobs, and they did them right, how many of the ass holes at the top, who fell asleep at the wheel, lost theirs?

On our side the CAW made sure that all the laid off workers had a decent lay off package, and that they had the chance at retraining, and I believe it was at company expence. In a none union world that never would have happened. The people at the top would have said... There's no money, your out on your ass, so long.
