Why do people use safe words?

For safety of course =). In case someone can't catch their breath or needs to go pee or something. Some people might not like to cross a certain threshold either. Sometimes after a certain point in being tickled, it can feel as if they are in distress. They are good to have as a tiny sense of security. Sometimes the person screaming "stop" is fun but they really don't want you to stop. The safety word, if it makes the LEE comfortable thats all that really matters.

Doesn't that make the tickling not as fun?

Definitely less fun because it takes away the psychological aspect thus the ticklee(bottom)has control thus topping from the bottom.

Why safe words....... Fear and lack of trust.

OMG, if a husband could beat his wife to screaming and tears, I'm thinking safety isn't exactly a priority.

Lorie, he does not beat my feet hard (and I wasn't screaming). The smacks are fairly mild, and quite erotic and stimulating. When it's over, the soles of my feet are far more ticklish. But it does sting and it can make me cry (and often does). It was only that one time that I reached the point where it got to be too much and had to have it stop. Safety is indeed a priority for us.

I do. Should be more than enough. And it took you that long to see that!? 🙂

"Why do people use safe words?" ...because a baseball bat to the side of the head might be considered a faux pas.

Know the limits. Know your partner. No means No.
