Sorry for all the missed threads and emails recently people. Darn broken email system again >_< . Does anyone get the problem occasionally where they dont recieve thread notifications from the board? Don't know if it's a forum problem or a Gmail problem or what...

That sucks kimiko. Have you checked your junk box? I use g-mail too, and recently all of the theaters e-mails have been counted as spam. Of course, then again it might just be that you're so popular that tickletheaters servers just can't keep up with you!

Hope someone else can offer a better explanation. Good luck!

That second one sounds pretty good to me 😀

I've heard many reports of e-mails not being recieved, not only from TT but from other forums as well. Sometimes the problem is with the ISP (AOL is notorious for over-blocking suspected spam), and sometimes it's with the e-mail provider as you stated above.

The ISPs and webmail services need to do a much better job of identifying spam correctly if e-mail notification is to be useful to forum members. I have found Yahoo, surprisingly, to be the best at properly identifying spam without many false-positives.

Fixed the problem now thankfully. But I dont get why 1 minute the posts come through normally, and the next, they are all classed as spam...

Spam filters analyse the content of e-mails based on key words, word count, text colour, and embedded links or attachments. For instance, many filters automatically classify e-mails as spam if they contain red or bold text, which can lead to irregular results.
