Tonight, Wild Card Radio dives into the music world once more as we bring you our favorite One Hit Wonders. We'll also be discussing the whole genre of OHW's and what they mean to the music industry. We've also decided to treat the term very liberally, showcasing a variety of tunes that fall into the catagory for various reasons.
Many OHW's are truly a one-off from an artist who quickly dissapears. Others are simply the only memorable song from an artist with underground or cult longevity...while still others may be the only real US hit from an artist with a succesful career everywhere else in the world.
We'll discuss the impact of OHW's on the music world, how they are actually quite neccesary...and how musical culture has changed over the years from OHW's being a unique oddity to now being a large contingent of what's out there.
