Most of the legends retire and then wrestle again at some point. Abdullah the Butcher has so many retirements it isn`t even funny.

yes he is working on a six week contract with the wwe right now and he is going to wrestle orton. After that he has a 30 match tour across europe lined up

thanks for the update

can you blame him for as much alimony as he pays per month. Trez you should be happy; I know you are the biggest Flair fan ther is!

Good way to tarnish a legacy. He went out about the best way you could, so there's really no way he can top that now. But it's his life. Let him do what he wants, I suppose.

lol i hate flair and its like a slap in the face to wwe for the way they sent him out. But europe is offering six figures for him to wrestle matches so i guess i cant blame him

But doesn`t it seem like most guys do the same thing . The Flair vs. Michaels match at wreslemania was insane and stole the show. But why doesn`t the WWE let the true icons of the sport actually win the retirement match ? It`s not like Michaels needed to be put over, he is one of the greatest of all-time as well.

Hell when Lesnar beat Hogan on a bearhug, it freaked the fans out. They didn`t know whether to cheer , boo, or what. So they all sat there in awkward silence

you love Flair, just admit it; you will feel much better Trez.:woot2:

Well you could never say he didn't love what he did for a living. The man certainly was an animated interview. 😛

dude got the best sendoff ever. FFS stick to your word they had a huge retirment show for him everyone saying hes the best ever but the idiot wants to come back still. Your 60 years old ffs how about being a father to your kids now since your youngest one has problems and got caught with cocaine or someshit a couple weeks ago. It looks so sad seeing him in the ring i reckon ppl are starting to cheer for him only b/c they feel sorry for him.

HHH did a interview like 2 days ago saying he got the ultimate sendoff in prowrestling and would like for it to stay that way

In what way? Ringskills? Micskills? Drawing?

overall he is talked about as the greatest thing to ever step into a ring and i dont think hes even close. I mean done get me wrong Flair was good and my view of him is distorted seeing as most of what i saw of him was an old midcarded. But even from watching his old matches he never impressed me, all of his matches bore me and i dont think his promos were anything to call home about..

His in ring skills were stiff and he didnt do any have to see moves, he mainly stuck to getting worked over the whole match then coming back with a few chops, some knee blocks and the figure four. He isnt any higher on my list than Vader or Arn Anderson

During a recent appearance on the "Busted Open" show on Sirius XM radio, Triple H told Dave LaGreca that he has mixed feelings regarding Ric Flair's desire to return to the ring after his retirement at WrestleMania 24. Triple H added, "There's a part of me that's bitter sweet. As much as I enjoy Ric on the show and I miss seeing Ric Flair on the show, I feel that he was given the ultimate sendoff in the business. There have been so many guys in the past...they retire and unretire then they retire and they unretire. It's almost a joke when they un-retire. He really wanted to be the guy who said, meant it, and did it. I don't know if he misses the business or he needs the money. I'm not sure what it is, but if he's thinking about coming back there has to be a pretty good reason because he was pretty adamant about that never happening."

Obviously I disagree, but have you ever thought about why promotors found it worthwhile to hang the strap on him umpteen times?

I saw Flair in his heyday. He could adapt his style to that of who he was wrestling . He would come to texas and wrestle and it was amazing what electricity was generated while he was here. He was NWA champ and World Class was a territory of the NWA back then.

I don`t think Trez has the benefit of seeing that part of Flair`s career, if he did the little snot-nosed punk would change his tune!!! :dancingsheep:
LOL!!!

Frankly the strap can be given to anyone as many times as the company sees fit, the people will like or hate who they are told to

some intresting comments by flair

PHILADELPHIA — Ric Flair still has a few more trademark "Woooooo's!" left to howl inside the squared ring.

A year after the former WWE champ - and arguably the sport's most renowned name outside of Hulk Hogan - retired from wrestling, Flair is back on the mat for a Philadelphia-based wrestling company that hopes the "Nature Boy" can give the next generation of stars a brand-name boost.

The 60-year-old Flair is stylin' and profilin' again.

"If Brett Favre can come back once in a while, I certainly can," Flair said.

Flair isn't lacing up the boots for another main event when he appears Friday as an ambassador for the Ring of Honor promotion. He'll be pushing a company that prides itself on putting more emphasis on the sport of wrestling than on the WWE's often outlandish entertainment style.

"I do like working with the young guys and talking to them a lot," Flair said. "They've got some great kids. It's very professional. I wouldn't put my name somewhere I didn't think was professional."

Flair is scheduled to cut an extended promo and maybe dish out some of his trademark chest chops at Friday night's taping in Philadelphia. The promotion will tape six, hour-long "Ring of Honor Wrestling" television shows on Friday and Saturday for cable outlet HDNet.

That's about as different from World Wrestling Entertainment's method as an amateur wrestling match and a steel cage bout. Flair is still in the mix for the sport's No. 1 company, battling the bad guys from the outside at the signature Wrestlemania event, last month's pay-per-view card, and this week's live Monday Night RAW TV show.

Not bad for a wrestler who was forced into retirement when he lost to Shawn Michaels last year at Wrestlemania 24.

Flair hasn't donned his robe or assembled a new crew of Four Horsemen since that match. The WWE gave Flair an unprecedented emotional TV farewell that saw good guys and bad break character to pay tribute to his 35-year career.

It's one reason why Flair hasn't done the one thing all retired wrestlers do at one point - un-retire.

"I would like to, but I'm not going to do anything to rock the boat," Flair said. "I'm in the same kind of shape I was last year when I retired. It's hard to stay away from something you like so well, especially when you still feel like you can do it. If I did wrestle, it would be overseas, it wouldn't be here."

Still, Flair believes he will walk down that aisle, lock up and wrestle at least one more time.

"In my gut, I do," he said. "Do I think I will? Yes. I'm not going to take no easily. Like I've said, I haven't retired, they retired me."

Flair, who has lived in Charlotte, N.C., for 35 years, has become a popular pitchman in retirement. He makes appearances for Wal-Mart and Coca-Cola, and served as a celebrity judge in a burnout competition at NASCAR's all-star race. He's booked for autograph signings and personal appearances almost every weekend on the independent circuit. Some of his and his family's legal troubles have also made him a staple on websites such as TMZ.

Everywhere he goes, fans flash Flair the four-fingered Horseman sign or want him to "Woo!" for the crowd.

He's happy to oblige, and wants to entertain the fans for the WWE, ROH or whatever company wants him. Flair just hopes the behemoth WWE will let him keep working his side job at spreading the word about Ring of Honor.

"They don't look at Ring of Honor as being competition to them," Flair said. "If everybody just focuses on their own brand and what they're trying to accomplish instead of worrying about the other guy, it usually works out much more better."

It is official!!! Trek also agrees with the rest of us; Flair is the greatest of all time!!!:clap::clap:

It takes a big man to admit they made a mistake, so kudos for manning up and joining the program

? dont remeber this happening and it will be a cold day in hell b4 that happens.. top 20 probaly, top 10 no and defenitly not the man

Next he'll be doing the "Ram Jam" and will play the lead in "The Wrestler 2: The True Story".

Absolutely without a doubt he will wrestle again. If I had a million dollars to bet on this I would forget the amount and wager a hundred million I'm so sure. I'm more sure Flair will wrestle again than I am the sun will rise tomorrow. So will Hogan, Piper and any other pro-wrestler who "retires." Retirement in pro-wrestling is nothing more than a vacation. The most dubious of this retirements is when they have an actual match when the loser retires. Folks never be fooled by this, no wrestler who has ever lost a retirement match has actually stayed retired in the history of pro-wrestling. Not Flair (lost one to Hogan), Not Savage (lost one to Ultimate Warrior), not Nash (Hogan again), not Foley (lost one to HHH), nobody. The only time a wrestler is retired and will STAY retired is when the wrestler dies but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Vince begins having some wrestlers dress up as a decomposed Eddie Guerrero, Owen Hart or Chris Benoit to do battle with the Undertaker. Someone mentioned The Wrestler starring Mickey Roarke above (awesome movie!) and at the very end you saw how a wrestler will retire when Robinson gave the RamJam in the midst of having a heart attack. :flatstare:
