Some say yes. some say no.
I say that one of two things could happen.
They talk about starting sometime in June with perhaps a 100 to 120 game schedule.
The question is, depending on how far we get along to make it realistic for there to be a season.
The idea of playing outside anytime after maybe the second week in November if a cold weather team like the Yankees or Red Sox make the World Series, is the problem.
I also read an article of having an MLB season start with the All Star Game, to kick off things and get the fans back into the game.
I hope there is baseball in 2020. I think they would have to start by no later than July 1, and maybe have some doubleheaders between say, rival teams in divisions like the Mets and Braves like they used to in the old days, for the season to end at a realistic time before it would get too cold to play.
I also think they could not have a 19 game playoff schedule. With the five game LDS and seven game LCS and seven game World Series.
They could do something like abolish the Division Series this year, give the team with the best record a first round bye, while having the other two teams play each other, in maybe a three game special series, and then have a five game LCS like they used to before 1985, and then have maybe two days off before the World Series, and not a multitude of travel days.
Some people think there will not be a season at all. I'm hopeful for some kind of season, even if it means two months cut off, and a shortened playoff schedule.
