Tomorrow is the first day of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
I'm also aware of course that it is the first day of summer for the Southern Hemisphere members.
I live in New York City, as my profile states.
Last winter, we had what seemed like a very cold winter, and three major snowstorms. In fact, we had a major snowstorm in mid December, which is very unusual. We also had over one foot (12 inches) of snow in early Feb.
This winter is forecast to be very mild in New York City, and in fact, it seems much of the United States.
The two week outlook for temperatures in NYC is supposed to be in the 40s F, with absolutely no snow expected.
Hopefully this pattern will continue
