Have you ever had a tickling situation in the work place:

At 33 it has happened a few times both as a ler and lee, with different people but once with the same person several times and she as been a close friend for many years, but not intimate.

yup a few times. There was this cute girl once who was holding some ice, threatening to try and drop it down my back, so I bearhugged her and told her to drop it. When she refused, I resorted to tickling her. She dropped it real fast.

My favorite experience though was with another coworker. We were alone together in the walk-in cooler for different reasons. She was trying to reach something up top, and I tickled her armpits. She kinda squirmed a little and said, "Ooh." She wasn't really all that ticklish, but the fact that she LET me continue to probe her upper body for a minute or two for fun and seemed to enjoy it... yeah, that was definitely the best part.

Oh yeah, just recently, actually.

There's a guy I work with who has a very good sense of humor, otherwise I wouldn't even attempt to tickle another guy at the work place.

He's older than me (early 50's) but looks like he's 40 and solid. He works out daily, so he's in great shape.

one day he stopped by my cube early in the morning, no one else was around, and he was poking fun at me, so I grabbed his side. He immediately jumped and said "Oh man, I'm very ticklish."

So I did what I had to do, put my hands on either side and let him have it for a few seconds. he was doubled over and laughing.

Got a good side tickle in on a cute little gal half my age the other day. She was temporarily stuck holding something above head, so I asked, "R U ticklish?" and of course immediately gave her a quick giggle before she even had a chance to reply. 😛oke1:

I've been relatively safe at my current workplace, but during my time at a previous employer's I worked alongside a strikingly persistent series of ticklers--all women, some of them friends but many of them unacquainted, several of whom discovered my ticklishness independently of one another, all uncommonly relentless in their wicked teasing (especially for a platonic work setting). I don't know what it was about this particular office--a standard-issue cubicle maze--that brought the tickling out of people, but I was a frequent target.

I talk about some of these encounters here, but believe it or not this thread doesn't even cover all of the tormentors:

At the time it seemed like a perfectly natural component of the office's social rapport, if also nerve-wracking on my end. But in retrospect I can't imagine a sexual harassment counselor would have approved of all the giggly hijinks on company time. I suspect it may be easier for women to get away with inflicting friendly tickling on male co-workers than for men to do it with women.

It happens from time to time. Part time for my second job I work (mostly on Friday and Saturday evenings) at a place with all those inflatable games like velcro walls, inflatable bouncy boxing ring, and all that stuff and the place is a big hangout for boyfriends and girlfriends who just want to have an alternative to going out and drinking (afterall, nothing beats a good few hours of bouncing). Anyways, anyone who enters the place must take their shoes off (employees included) the whole time they are there. So as you can imagine there's usually some tickling involved... usually the girls getting revenge on their boyfriends if they beat them in a game or something like that. It's quite funny to watch.

Oh yes I have... quite a fewwww times ahaha! Me and this girl I work with, who is also my good friend, kept tickling each other last week, as a recent expample.

Never been brave enough to initiate it with myself and another (because fluster, if you know me you understand), but once when I was in a safety training another woman was having a hold demonstrated on her and a few coworkers who knew her better than I did attacked her. She squealed and let off a few threats-it was brief but great to watch.

Nothing has happened at my work. But I work for a family owned business, and the owners could NOT care less what the employees do as long as it isn't against the law or health code.

You should hear my drunken / enraged boss wrestling with heavy shit in the back and screaming curse words at the top of his lungs. One of the most senior employees (business owner's nephew), the one that makes all of our product, HATES the sound of children/babies crying. There was a kid screaming his head off out front, and the door to the back was open. Only maybe 20 feet distance between where he was working and where the customers sit. Eye contact can easily be made.

The guy SLAMS a rubber mallet down on a sold metal desk, and yells out the door as loud as he can: "EITHER PUT IT ON A LEASH OR PUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!"

The room was dead quiet after that.

The business has been open since 1958 and that's ALWAYS been the work ethic there. You can get away with literally ANYTHING if you've been there long enough.

Nope, I honestly have never been at a work place where I have gotten that close to my co-workers. I am usually strictly business during work-hours. Outside of work hours though, 😉

I was close friends with a co-worker of mine, and I've had a few casual tickle encounters with her outside of work. But never at work, or during work hours.

I used to work in an office where it was endemic, for some reason. A coworker would find out I was ticklish, and poking and tweaking me became her hobby for a while; then she'd leave for another a job, and weeks later another coworker would find out I was ticklish and the pattern repeated. By the time I was done with that job I'd been subjected to like seven different ticklers.

It must've been something unusual about the dynamic of that particular group of people, because at my current workplace no one's tried tickling me, yet.

How do you get through life and get anything done with all these constant random tickle attacks you find yourself victim to? It's completely amazing lol

In my reportage on here, I mercifully edit out the hours, weeks and months of sluggish drudgery and dull inactivity that stretch tediously between tickling-related experiences. It's been years, for instance, since anyone tickled me in a workplace -- long enough that I miss the jolt of jittery adrenaline it used to introduce into the workday...
