I hosted a WM party at my house last night, and we all agreed that it was the most boring WWE pay per view we've ever seen. Pre-match video packages, promos for upcoming events, and ring entrance times were WAY too long, and acted as a real buzzkill for the event.
As for the matches:
Money in the Bank....that was a WAY nasty injury Edge took. I think it's time to keep anyone named "Hardy" away from ladder bumps.
Kane/Khali- Seriously...was anyone expecting anything good from this match?
Benoit/MVP- Not bad...but Benoit deserves better.
The Lumberjill Match- Typical WWE women's match. Nothing tremendous...expect for, as Lawler would say, the puppies.
Batista/Undertaker- I expected much bigger reactions from the crowd, but they seemed pretty bored. The boos for Dave kinda surprised me. Undertaker takes the title, and oh yeah...the rematch will be at the next PPV. So Taker gets to keep his winning streak alive, and Dave could win the belt back next month.
New Breed/ECW Originals- Nobody outside of the original ECW fans cared about this match. Sabu and Van Dam- Talented. Dreamer and Sandman- Not worth the salary of a 7-11 manager.
Battle of the Billionaires- Hmmmm...Stone Cold is the guest ref, so will he get physically involved? DUUUUUUUUH!!!! I saw the ending coming a mile away. I believe people were more interested in seeing Austin stun McMahon, than Umaga and Lashley beating each other silly. As for the shaving, the only thing funnier than McMahon's acting during his buzzcut, was seeing Trump hit him with a clothesline and start wailing on him.
Cena/Michaels- Good match, though the crowd didn't start getting into it till later on. Good wrestling by both guys, and it was good to see Cena going over with the submission at the end.
Overall, not enough good matchups, and too much filler.
