Tna is trying to go big time and really challenge the WWE on a national scale. Up to this point Tna is more of a regional organization even though they have as much star power as the wwe.

Yet there is still a ton of top level talent currently in minor promotions or wrestling part time in Japan . It would be good for the fans if promotions had to get creative to battle for the wrestling fan base as a whole

RoH is good, and they've gained more exposure over the last few years... but it's nowhere near the level of WWE, or even TNA.

I agree though... I'd really like to see another promotion emerge, because I don't see TNA ever giving WWE a run for their money.

And wrestling was at it's best when there was that competition involved, and it's hit quite a slump lately, so a promotion that actually challenged WWE to be better would be great.

Maybe Ted Turner should look into starting a new promotion. 😉

there is one its called ring of honor, they just recently got put on tv

yea but they are a start up . I think some guy name Austin Aries is the champ . How many casual wrestling fans have heard of anyone on their roster

Well... I think most people, if they watched TNA would know Austin Aries... althought maybe more so as The Austin Starr... what a bad gimmick that was... he would have been great in TNA, but they screwed him up.

And I think most wrestling fans would have heard of Jerry Lynn as well... and guys like Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness have been becoming more well known in the last little while.

So... maybe there aren't that many that the casual wrestling fan would know, but to me I like to check out wrestlers I've never heard of, and check out new promotions... but I would consider myself more than a 'casual wrestling fan' as well.

I agree ..

But I meant more of a new promotion backed with big money able to do major tv and events on a national scope . And also have the finances to bring in established talent that has name recognition

wont ever happen again, no one is going to go head to head with vince again. For the fans that dont like wwe there is TNA, ROH, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. I just dont see a big orginization ever starting again

I definitely wouldn't say ever again...

I'm sure sometime in the future, however distant it may be, there will be some company that can go head-to-head with WWE.

But I don't think that company will be TNA, or any of the current promotions out there now.

It's all about $.....and TNA...nor any upstart wrestling organization with have the cash to effectively compete with the WWE circus! The one with the most toys wins...and unfortunately thats the WWE.....if people really wanted another organization to be successful then each person must make an effort to STOP buying the overpriced and over produced PPV's....stop buying the DVDs.....STOP buying the merchandise.Hit them in the wallet. But realistically speaking that wont happen.Personally i stopped feeding vinces pockets long ago. I dont buy the merchandise and the only PPV i do get is wrestlemania..Hell i give up watching raw after the first hr and i dont even bother with the other "brands"..aka worthless crap.I'll go to an indy show long before i go to a wwe show.

Wrestling needs a second major organization before talks of a third can be realistic

Thats what makes money though

Hell, many boards were flooded with comments like "Why did CM Punk have that weird Misawa word on his arm?"

You cannot cater to the internet\tape trading fan. It worked a while for ECW but as those unknown wrestlers get to the casual fans eye, they get plucked by WWE

I have watched my share of TNA and don`t remember Austin Star or Austin Aries back then
