considering that he was inducted into the hall of fame this year, i certainly hope that current wwe fans are at least aware of the name 😉 ...besides there is no way that McMahon will get outta Toronto without getting booed. it's possible that Shawn will get booed, though i'm sure they'll muffle it or HHH will shout down the crowd or something.
I'm abit more concerned about the tlc match between Edge and John Cena, i have a bad feeling that Edge won't win and somehow that contract Cena had to go to Smackdown will somehow be fixed so that Edge ends up there.

ECW was once the most innovative federation in wrestling history. They did things that the more family-oriented WCW and former WWF wouldn't think of doing. Need proof? Look at how much the big two ripped off ECW. StoneCold Steve Austin owes his whole gimmick in the WWE to ECW's Sandman. What ruined ECW was lack of exposure and big money. This new ECW is just another WWE moneymaker. Believe me, there's a HUGE difference between today's ECW and the previous incarnation before they went belly up.

As far as Shawn getting booed goes, Canadian fans will never get over the screwing of Bret Hart. Granted, Vince did what he had to do to protect the WWE title from going to WCW, but he went about it a shitty way. And considering it was done to one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and a Canadian native to boot, the fans have a right to hate all parties involved.

It wasnt till austin went to ecw and showed he had mic skills that wwf even wanted him.

As for ecw exposure, they ran events coast to coast and sold every one out, was the highest rated show on any tv channel they got on.
ECW took what scraps the big 2 left and made them stars, they showed that the "jobbers" had talent. Then they become good and the big 2 go "Oh hey, we had that guy, lets get him back, we dont need him but meh"
