i havent kept up with wrestling regularly since about 04 but i think it may be headed back in the right direction. i heard that all of the mcmahons will now have a continued presence on the shows. it started this past monday and they should be there this monday. jim ross was fired by the was. and this monday will supposedly be the beginning of a new era in the WWE. i also read something about wrestlemania 22 and hulk hogan may fight stone cold. and it seems bret hart and vince are back on good terms and bret has even said he would love to wrestle kurt angle. dont know if it'll happen but would love to see it. i just hope the wwe returns to prominence and gets some new, interesting storylines

Ive lost some interest in the wwe. I like watch tna on saturday on spike tv. Its a good plain and simple, wrestling program. I keep up with most of what wwe offers, but if I miss it, I dont feel too bad.

Actually, good ol' J.R. is having colon surgery this coming week, which would account for his latest "firing". I'm sure he'll be back at some point. And if Bret Hart is able to wrestle at all, I'd like to see him come back for one final, respectful match.

Drew

bret hart dvd should be coming out soon.

ok jr thats why you shouldnt have all that bbq sauce. Messed up your colon fart.., i say farting bullets.

I seriously think that some stars cant let go of the sport like hulk hogan or shawn because their afraid that they will be forgotten.

Bret Hart had a stroke a few years back after falling off a bicycle. And while still in WCW, he took a nasty blow to the head (I believe) courtesy of Bill Goldberg. Maybe Mimi and Laz could correct any inaccurate information here.

Drew

You are right, drew. Hart got kicked with a superkick by Goldberg that didn't go right, and it messed him up from there. He was never the same after that. But do not be surprised to see him do one more match, maybe against Angle, to finish his career.

AFA the JR firing, it seems they used it as an angle to give him some time off for his surgery, but will be back after Taboo Tuesday, when Stone Cold wins to get his "job" back.

I've been keeping up with everything thats going on lately, whether I enjoy it personally or not. I have nothing better to do friday nights anyway, I might as well watch something I do like. Smackdown seems to be getting better these days. The cards are better and the matches are more interesting.

It may seem stupid to some, but I actually want to see where this "Boogey Man" gimmick is going. That was hilarious! The guy has like...no front teeth!

"I'm the boogey man! And I'm going to getcha!"

LOL! Teddy Long was looking at him like "WTF?!" LOL Maybe I'm just easily amused sometimes...I don't know.

The whole presentation of the character harkens back to the 80s-quality of the characters and their personas and gimmicks, and I think thats a good thing. Its nostalgic. The characters had more substance back then as personalities and we don't have enough of these types of characters nowdays. Although this one is bizarre to the point of being stupid, just from the little we saw that was pretty entertaining.

I hope the Boogey Man isn't just a one shot gimmick for Halloween, especially after the hype and advertizing they did for him. It would be interesting to see what he brings to the ring, both in a wrestling and speaking capacity.

And did anyone else think his make-up mask looked similar to Darth Maul's tattoos from Star Wars?

I'm looking foward to seeing what they do with The Boogeyman as well, his promo last week was hysterical! I enjoyed the gimmick characters of the 80s(I.R.S., Repo Man, Duke "the dumpster" Drosey, Henry Godwin the pig farmer, even the wrestling plumber!)
I'm guessing they'll probably put the Boogeyman in a program with the Undertaker. What would be better though, is to have Boogeyman start playing mind games with Ken Kennedy.

Drew

Yeah, it was really funny. I have to see if I can find a clip of it so I can download it! 😀

As for Mark, is he taking more personal time with his family, again? If so, it would explain why he lost to the Ortons in the casket match.

As far as him and the Boogeyman having a feud, I'm not sure if that would work right...but then again it seemed to with the Kamalla fued. I'd much rather see Taker in the running for the championship again. I think him v.s Dave Batista (assuming Dave is still the champion by then) would be a good match. In an internet interview Batista was asked how he would feel about facing Taker someday (this interview happened about a week after he had been drafted to Smackdown). He said he has alot respect for the man, etc, and would love to see it happen someday.

Because Taker may only have one more run left in him (I hope its more) anyway it would be good to put him up against Batista, at Wrestlemania, so Taker can win just one more time...not just the event, but the championship as well. I'm tired of them putting him into feuds with mid-carders. Not that thats a problem, it definitely helps, but he's been the underdog for some time and getting screwed out of title shots, and I think he needs to retake his "yard", as he used to call it as the biker Taker.

As for Ted Kennedy........................Kennedy ( 😀 ) I agree that Boogeyman and Kennedy having a fued would probably look good. I guess it really depends on what Boogeyman can do.

Does anyone know anything about this guy? I thought he looked fimilar somehow.
