As most folks know, Kurt and I haven't always seen eye to eye. And, there was a time when the site consisted of stuff that didn't exactly fit the topic. BUT. I have to say that it's a work of art if you can appreciate the tremendous efforts that have gone into it. Even those graphics that have been borrowed from elsewhere are used in such a way that it would take time and effort to put things all together. The general theme and media work that are used in the presentation are really neat.
For those with slower connections... Yes, it is very slow for you to get things loaded at first. However, if you allow your browser to keep the files, each visit is a bit faster. The problem is at the users end. The site itself is on a fast enough server that it doesn't take long at all from cable and DSL connections. IF you have the time some day, Sharon, I'd go ahead and pay them a visit.
I haven't been in a while, since I haven't been online much. So, I can't be specific as to how much and what kind of tickling content he's managed to get back up after having had the site hacked and trashed. (Guess I'll have to pay them a visit when I have a chance.) But, knowing how festidious Kurt can be about detail and all, I'd imagine he's perfecting every little thing before presenting it to the community. So, he may not have a lot back up yet.

Editorial comment: Anyone can put up a quickie site and upload a ton of material they've found elsewhere. But, it takes real time and effort to do things yourself and put it all together in a presentable fashion. SInce Kurt is very clear on the system requirements and the fact that things will take time, I don't believe anyone visiting has a right to complain. They're warned up front that this isn't the average site and will take time and space to visit.
