I should relate something that happened to me a while ago.
When I first wanted to create my own group, I was about to follow the trend, and have a Yahoo group like everybody and their undead puppy.
Then a few complaints started to trickle in; I think Gripped Chimp over TMF was the first to tell scary stories. Other followed.
So I looked around and - can't remember how, maybe after Val's advice - went and opened my page over Smartgroup.
...
No big deal, you might say, what's the point you deranged and hopelessly longwinded moron, you might say if you are that kind of people who say "moron" incessantly.
I'm coming to it if you don't mind.
Bide your time.
...
So, went and had... ok, you get the point.
Added my pics. Fiddled with the options. Let the group grow and live a life on its own.
...
Then something kicked in: I lost most of my interest in it.
To make a rather convoluted tale short, I forgot to renew the group, and, as per EULA or whatever the name, the guys over SG deleted it.
For a couple of days I scratched my chin, not sure about my next few steps.
Finally, I resolved to send a message through to their help center.
I politely pointed out I had never asked to have the group deleted, nor received a warning mail prior to deletion, and asked them to restore the group, if at all possible.
Well, maybe they had took pity on my laughably thin grasp of english.
Maybe it was the first polite message they had ever received.
Whatever.
The next day my group was there. Down to the last file and user profile.
As per Murphy's rule, my group will burn to ashes the very moment I press "Post Reply".
...
But I wanted to share this episode and thank the guys over SG for helping me out.
...
EDIT 01:
The groups is still there.
Thanks for asking.
EDIT 02:
Yep. Still there.
