My Yahoo Messenger friends list has kinda dried up through lack of use.

Not sure but I think yahoo messenger went extinctaroonie...I know I never log on...I did have Skype but it kept fighting with my computer so it went poofie as well.

I use yahoo messenger on my phone, and it seems to work.

Same here -- the new Yahoo messenger doesn't work with my IM client, Pidgin IM, so I am stuck with the awful Web version, which doesn't work on my Android. I could never get Skype working correctly so I got rid of it. I don't currently have any IM program except Jabber on Pidgin IM, which no one else uses :huh

I still have an old flip phone (in place of a landline), but never had a smartphone 🙂
