I just read on Yankees.com that Yankees broadcaster, and former player, Bobby Murcer, died earlier today, after his long battle with brain cancer. He was 62. Mr Murcer was an excellent broadcaster, and longtime player for the Yankees.

I'm not good at posting links, but if someone has the link to this story,. and could post it, it would be appreciated.

R.I.P. Bobby.

another Yankee legend passes.. being that I was going to Yankee Stadium since I was 4, I had the wonderful opportunity to see him play as well as broadcast for the Yankees.

He was a Yankee true and true, he did everything with style and a smile. I will miss him. He may not be a Hall of Famer but he was an ace with me.

God Bless and keep smiling.

Don't forget that Mr. Murcer also played for the Cubs. I was a big fan of his when he was wearing the better pinstriped uniform. Sad to hear of his death.
