Yay!

As all of you probably know, I'm an Angels fan. But the way the White Sox dominated my team has shown me how great they are. It's not every day you get four complete games in a row from your starting pitchers. Chicago is the club to beat this year and I don't think the Astros or Cards are good enough to do that. Go Chi Sox! 1917 will be but a memory soon. :bowing:
 
I'm just happy to see great pitching...the last two expansions seemed to kill great pitching for many years, and halfway decent pitchers posted 4 and 5 ERAs.

I'm very happy for the Sox, and their long-suffering fans who have been made to feel like second class citizens in their own home for so many years, by a bunch of unloveable, losing, infantile schmucks on the other side of town, rooting endlessly for loveable losers who owe their ineptitude and hopelessness to a stupid, friggin' billy goat. Well, no more.
 
I'm rooting for the Sox to go all the way, Knox, my friend. This is for two reasons. First, because they havent won a World Series for so long, it will be great to see another curse broken, like the Red Sox did last year. Second, assuming they win tonight, the Sox opponent will be the Houston Astros, who took out my Braves in the NLDS last week, and I cant root for anyone who beat my Braves. Also, I have a close friend who is originally from Chicago, but now lives in NY, who has been a big Sox fan his whole life, and comes from the South Side, so I hope they also win it for my friend, and the people he knows in Chicago.
So, Yeah, Go Sox, finish those Angels, and then let's win the World Series to break yet another curse!

Yeah...

It started before a lot of people here were born, with crybabies like Randy Hundley and Ron Santo, and Leo Durocher, of course. Billy goat my ass! You know what, it's been all downhill since the very minute the big brother of one of my friends put that black cat out on the field that circled in front of the visiting dugout there at Shea, while the Flubbies were being pushed off a cliff by an orange and blue magic wand. They really haven't recovered yet. Which makes me laugh.

Yes. Go Sox.
