I Love it! between this and the saints losing, the only other thing that would make my day is for a packer loss. As far as manning goes tho, he just doesnt have it anymore, personally IMO i think he needs to retire, im no fan of the guy by any means, but if he keeps pulling a brett favre hes gonna embarrass himself pretty badly, and by brett favre i mean he just doesnt have it anymore and he needs to throw in the towel and give up

Isn't it a bit premature to say Manning doesn't have it? He still has one of the better records in the league this past season. His QB rating is still pretty high even for this season.

Peyton done? Wishful thinking, to be sure...

I think the team's in a decline. Manning worked his tail off to turn things around, but they're gonna have to rebuild soon. I think he's got two or three more good years.

It's hard to say Peyton choked after all he didnt give up the 18 yard pass then the FG, and if the defense didnt give up 169 yards of rushing and let the Jets use almost 34 minutes of the game maybe he has time for FG or TD so I say D choked more then him

Are you serious? Peyton doesn't have it anymore? Because he lost to the Jets? Did he throw a pick in that game? No. Did he allow Cromartie to return a kickoff 40+ yards to set the Jets up with a short field? No. Did he give up the pass play to Braylon Edwards to put the ball on like the 14 yard line in the closing seconds? No.

Did he drive his team down the field for what was thought was the game winning field goal? Yes. Did Peyton hold his offense together despite all the injuries to his receivers and O-line? Yes.

If you blame Manning for this loss and he is supposedly done because of it, then Drew Brees must also be finished. He couldn't beat a 7-9 team in the playoffs remember?

Keep in mind the Jets are a darn good football team. In fact, don't be shocked when they take out the Patriots next week....

Peyton Manning is still one of the top QBs in the league. Only Brady, Rivers, and Brees are on his level.

I agree. How can Peyton compete with studs like Tavaris Jackson, Rhett Bomar, and Joe Webb.

now now, dont be all sour because the superbowl is being held in Dallas, and your cowgirls are not going to be there. I also find it funny that all these people are stating their opinions, and you get all judgemental and pissy when you read something you dont like, you sit there and gripe to others about being fair and not judging yet you are one of the most judgmental members on this site. I apologize for the Chiefs having the worst performance of this weeks playoff match ups. The impotent performance today makes me angry and want to train myself. A GREAT team (like the Pittsburgh Steelers) gets off the pavement, tend to their wounds, and remain DETERMINED to win a championship. Great coaches study film, great players train hard and give 1000% effort. Unfortunately, that doesn't transcend to 1 Arrowhead Drive. Since the merger, the Hunt family has lowered a founding AFL member into a museum.

A once great franchise of the old AFL is now a perennial NFL doormat/punching bag/bitch even with a winning record.

Christmas 1971 was the last time the Chiefs were RESPECTED and FEARED. Len Dawson is a Hall-of-Famer. Matt Cassel is not.

Chokenheimer only brought an also-ran status to the NFL in the 1990's. I'll never forget the playoff game where he put a weak Elvis Grbac in for a strong Rich Gannon against the Donkeys. They honored this choke artist last week. Fittingly enough, the Chiefs were embarrassed by the hated Raiders, a team that would subsequently fire their head coach that week.

Seven straight playoff losses is intolerable. I'm tired of this bullshit. This only the second year of Toddy Haley's chance. The third year is when you are truly serious or not.

As for Pouty Peyton, he can always do Sony commercials. He'll never be Johnny U, the toughest QB ever.
