So i was watching a bit of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner the other day..and that film just rankles me for some reason..not only must the black guy be extraordinarily talented, but the white people in the movie are so damn condescending..especially the daughter's tone of voice whenever she says the word Negro..i'm not sure why i watch it..good acting for one..except for that said daughter..and there are a few funny lines...such as when Tilly was told "Guess whose coming to dinner now" she replies, "The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr?" that was funny...but of all the scenes that do get me a bit annoyed this is one of the most annoying because i cannot understand the concept behind it..
the set up...Sydney Poitier..melts btw oops...anyway...he is discussing children with either his father or her's not sure which..and he said.."There will be children, because without children i don't know what you can call it, but you can't call it a marriage"....i'm like wtf? wtf does that mean? without children a marriage cannot be called a marriage..it's not like we didn't try...if not married what have i been doing for the last thirty one years? gesh....
