hey bonehead - I have friends in harlem in fact I live in the bronx!! As for your comment - back when I was in 'high school' going to harlem for shopping was the thing to do.

I wouldn't expect anyone from the Bronx to have a prob in Harlem, any more than I did coming from Brooklyn or my friends from the Lower East Side did.

I've known many, many people from CT. Used to bodyguard for 'em a lot. Guys from Fairfield and Greenwich CT generally have NO CLUE how to act in any ethnic neighborhood in NYC. Harlem, Chinatown, Little Italy, Little Odessa, Germantown; in any of those outsiders haveta' be polite and treat the locals with respect, and most of the guys I've ever known who came from the weath ghettos in CT just don't do that.
