I think having several scenes of a few pages is a good way to hold the interest of the reader long enough for the story to be memorable, but not so long that their attention begins to wander.

I'd also have to vote for many scenes. Lots of different ways of tickling to be seen hehe.

I agree. If there's a lot of pages but not much to see, then the reader might get turned away. If there's fewer pages, but a good deal of content, then the reader will feel that they got what they bargained for, if not more!
