Who's the one athelete in any league (NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL) that's done nothing but cause you heartache and misery?

It can be in any year current or past.

For me it's Dwyane Wade, he is the all time biggest villian in the Dallas area after the finals in 2006. To this day I still cant stand the sight of him.

Individual Wise is Reggie Miller - He rose to stardom mainly with his series wins with the Pacers against the Knicks. He KO'ed us at least 3-4 times, easily the most ever in my lifetime, & helped end good Knicks seasons. I thought he was cheap & dirty too, sticking his leg out when he shoots.

In the 1980s, when the Braves were in last place every year, and the Mets in first or second place, Ron Darling was my nemesis. No matter how he was pitching, whether it be poorly or well, he always seemed to beat the Braves. I think his lifetime record was like 10-2 against them.

Dont know if anyone will be interested but here you have some stories from Portuguese soccer:

My team is Benfica, from Lisbon, the biggest team in Portugal. But due to many issues, we have been underperforming in the past 2o years. So Porto, from the 2nd largest city, has been the dominant power. And even Sporting, the 2nd Lisbon club, has been doing better than us in some years.

Mario Jardel: Terrific goalscorer!!!! This guy was a killing machine wherever he played. Apparently we wanted to sign him from Brazil back in 93 or something but Porto just got him first. On the following seasons Jardel just became our worst nightmare!!! He was never really fast, never really looked threatening, but this guy was like a ghost....somehow, somewhere, he would get the ball inside the net....no matter what everyone would try to do to stop him. To make things worst, the guy ended up being transfered into a turkish team, with whom he kept trashing everyone....but then....out of the blue, he decides to come back to Portugal only this time to Sporting....and again he was deadly and Sporting won the league with this guy scoring tons. Sometimes he would say in the newspapers that he would have liked to play for Benfica also....but as that never happened, we are left terrified with the memories of all his goals for Porto and Sporting.

Paulinho Santos: a defensive player from Porto. Back in the 90´s Benfica had this portuguese player called Joao Vieira Pinto, whom we called our "golden boy". This guy from Porto would allways go on our "golden boy" so tough that often they would get both sent off having bloody battles. Actually Joao Pinto was known for being allways already on fire and this Paulinho Santos was simply too much for him. Their records have things like broken noses, broken legs, broken jaws....you name it, they broke each others 😉 Whenever we would play against Porto we would be like "Ohhh no!!! there goes Paulinho Santos....Joao will not last the game and we will have him sent off for god knows how many more matches". On a funny note, these guys played together on the portuguese national team. To stop their rivalry from becoming a problem, they were allways placed as roommates. This was kind of funny and apparently they never got into any fight using the national team collors. But when it was Benfica-Porto.....that was war!!!!!!!!!!!!

And these will have to be the worst....altough i could remember many many other stories but i think no one will be really interested 🙂

...more like it.

The Chiefs ended the last season on a good note...sweeping the Donkeys is the season for me.

Nice 🙂 🙂 🙂

I like that indian imagery and horseback stuff 🙂

My soccer club actually flyes an eagle at the beginning of each match. We have 3 or 4 of them allways in perfect shape and trainned to fly from the top of the stadium in circles, coming down and landing on a special pedestal with the club´s symbol.

It´s quite nice 🙂

Until about a week ago, it was Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. 😀

Going by the definition of "a formidable and usually victorious opponent", I'll say Derek Jeter. I don't hate him...To be honest, I'm actually somewhat of a fan of his...But anytime the Sox get beaten by the Yankees, he seems to have some part of it.

Anecdote: While playing a MLB: The Show Season mode, Jeter left the Yankees and signed with the Mariners. I was instantly a fan. He'll likely retire a Yankee, as he should, but if he ever went to another team, I'd buy a t-shirt.

Teams:
MLB: I'm a Bucs fan, so... everyteam? (Easy answer is the Yankees, of course)
NBA: None
NFL: Pats and Jags. Burgh can't beat either in the playoffs.
NHL: None... yet...

Individuals:
MLB: Barry Bonds
NBA: David Stern and Clay Bennett
NFL: Bruce Arians, Ben Roethsliberger and Mike Tomlin. The kings of killing their own team.
NHL: Marian Hossa (but the Pens beat his ass last year, so...)

Tom Brady he knocked the colts out of the playoffs when they won those 3 super bowls and those could of been ours grrrr

Two that I can think of. Jorge Posada for one, the guy has been a tough out for so many years. You think you're all set when you get by Jeter and A-Rod but Posada's always there lurking in the background.
And from decades ago, Bobby Clarke of the Philadelphia Flyers. I hated that team with a passion in the 70s and Bobby Clarke was their ringleader

I just thought of one for Cubs fans, Steve Garvey in game five of there NLCS series, the guy tormented them.

I think it might've been Roger Staubach...it killed me to watch him come out week after week and beat you with a two minute drill. A true nemesis.

In time, I grew to idolize Staubach as a great athlete, a great field leader, a great airman...and yes. A great American. We need more of him, especially now.

Porto are my boys!! No real connection to them since I live in the US but in the last couple of years I have come to like and follow them. Go Hulk!!

One guy I do not hate in any way but kills my Mariners every time he steps up to bat is Vlad Guerrero. He cannot be stopped by any Mariner pitcher.

Yeah, but the greatest M's killer of all time was Bobby Ayala.
