I got home from the road last Monday,April 7th. I delivered maybe 20 miles from where I live when not on the road. Tomorrow,the 14th,I go back. The weather was great.
Had a little rain on Friday evening. I was able to see Captain America,The Winter Soldier yesterday,the 12th. Great movie.
Got some work done on a couple models. I even found some hidden treasures in my unbuilt model stash. Today,my one sister and her clan comes over for a ham,green beans,and red skin potatoes dinner.
I thought I was gonna go back to regular over the road trucking,instead of being on a dedicated account. It would have meant a pay raise from 37 cents per mile to 45 a mile. Well my company more or less manipulated me into staying on dedicated.
They told me that I will not be able to take off any holidays,except for Christmas. And that I will not be able to get home on time if I am over the road. They think they own my soul. They do not. Nobody on this miserable planet does.
Only reason I drive big rig is because I have someone at home depending on me to pay half the rent. The hell with all these greedy trucking company executives. The truckers will rise up one day,and get what we want.
