As many of you know, a little over a year ago I broke both of my ankles in a work related accident.
The support Tracy and I received from forum friends was overwhelming to say the least. I was in rehab for 3 months and the only thing that got me through it was knowing that you were there pulling for me to get well......
I did. In fact I was able to return to work within 6 months and though I deal with pain, I have healed quite well.
So well, in fact, that the plate that was placed in the left ankle has outlived it's intended purpose as the bone has healed to the point where the plate is pulling away.
On Monday I will be having surgery to remove it and will be off work for about 2 weeks to recover.
It has been a long 13 months to get to the point where I walk and function like my old self again, and I just wanted to take the time to thank all of my friends again for giving me the reason and motivation to heal and rejoin the "living"
You are all very special to me and I dont know what I would have done without you.....
